Roy and Dach are decent sized players. No issue with that line size wise. Slaf is big and goes on the first.

Next year, Demidov comes in. Laine will be here. Won’t surprise me if Roy and Newhook go to the third line.
That would still make for a soft top-6 and a charmin soft 3rd line, Newhook and Roy don’t hit lol

I hear that St Louis is good at developing young players. So why can't he develop Roy who presumably has attitude problems? I can't see Roy playing worse then newhook. He is playing well in Laval and showed that he can play plenty in the NHL last season. Newhook would be a great addition to the Rocket.

Sending him down is part of his development.

Trade his ass with a pick and a B prospect for a top 4 RHD with sandpaper in his early/mid twenties.

I would do Newhook+Roy+ CGY 1st for a solid, young RHD.

The best way to develop young players with "attitude" problems is to send them down, has been working for decades. They come back with a fresh love of hard work after riding in busses again for a while. He came in to camp thinking he had it made, and it seems to be a pattern for him. Leave him down for the year would be better for him in the long term. Let hard work become a way of life instead of a way into the big's and then forget again.

Newhook should be better than this. If he doesn't turn it around soon, sounds like possible issue between the ears
Honestly, I never followed Newhook when he was in Colorado, but going off of what was said about him at the time of the trade from the Avs fanbase, he’s pretty much what I expected him to be. I think people’s expectations on what his ceiling is may have been a little bit unrealistic. He’s a speedy guy but he’s super vanilla. Doesn’t do anything great but nothing bad either.

you don't want to part with any of our 1st unless it's a young prospect. At least I wouldn't want to. Are you on gummies today? Do we have to fight?

I would try using Newhook with Suzuki and Slaf/Dach.
Maybe the effect of playing on that first line can bring him the confidence it gave those other two guys.
The only person who can score goals like Caufield is Suzuki and splitting them up is probably the only way to have two lines who can score.
Caufield-Evans-Slaf/Dach would be our best second line this season IMO so if the first line can get goals out of Suzuki we'd be much better off.

Good luck on your journey. Male Stripper?
About to strongly consider it honestly with the current market of the field I am in. Software engineering is a clusterf*** of a show, the overhyping during covid era of the job and the gouvernement allocation of so many scholarships in the program truly did us in
