Suzuki and CC haven’t looked better this season since Newhook joined their line.
He’s a solid depth scorer. Unfortunately the team has imploded and him along with it. He’s been okay but he’s never going to be a guy to carry a line.
Best case scenario he turn out to be a Paul Byron - lite.
He has the speed. Need to work on his defensive play and he could be a good 3rd line winger.
Or we just trade him in 2-3 years if in cannot fit this role. At this point there is no way he play in the top 6. If he's there it means we failed the rebuild.
Still think he can find a way to be an asset if he accept to be bottom 6 and put the work to be effective at this position.

After 25 games...he has no assist..none.
Impossible stat for a forward..lol

Seriously, he declined so hard from last season. I don't know what is his problem this year. Does he have a injury or something.

I thought he looked pretty damn good. The points will come. He's doing the dirty work. had some nice passes. Definitely not hurting that line as they were getting chances by the boat load. I see no need to demote him.
Let Heineman cut his teeth on the bottom 6. It won't hurt him. Sometimes too much too fast ain't a good thing.

Yeah he's gone from player looking bad and getting no points to player looking good and getting no points. Things will look better for him next year when Demidov throws him in his appropriate chair.

They can’t have 3 players in the bottom 6 who don’t kill penalties. They already have gallagher and heineman.
He’s not a banger. Not a big point producer. Doesn’t kill penalties.
He has to find his niche. Like Byron (mentioned above) did.

He missed almost half a season due to injury last year. The numbers he put up adjusted to 82 games was 25G and 32A. Not sure why he is not producing but it seems he can't find chemistry with anyone he plays with.

He's always been a 30-35pt player, even on good teams, not surprised he sucks bag here.

Exactly, people like to mention Byron as a hope comparaison but man he is miles away from Byron, right now he is not the kind of guy i want in my bottom 6 that's for sure.

I think he’s starting to click there. People keep saying all he has is a shot and speed but I saw some really nice passes.
Even if he’s not producing, the top line has been looking great and producing. I don’t see the need to move him. He could easily start putting up points sooner than later.
