I was hoping that MT would give Chucky more ice time in the last three games but don't think that was the case. At the same time, I understand MT for running the course. NIce goal last night and perhaps his nicess. There was also a laser shot that missed up high....dought Fleury saw anything or any goalie for that matter would have. Keep working hard Chucky!:handclap:

Next game put Eller, Chuck and Gally together and ride them up all the way through, send them into the opposition's face until they cannot take it anymore.

If somehow we could switch Desharnais's ice time with Galchenyuk's, I'm sure it would benefit both players efficiency.

I ask every guy on this board: Could DD have scored a goal like that last night? And at age 19? Ever? Answer honestly.

Centers who can score goals. My dream come true.

Chucky will be no 2 center after Christmas next year, if not sooner.

8 points in 9 games in April after just 3 points in all of March. Very encouraging, since for a while there it was looking like he was running out of gas.

Also nice to see that his production is not going "as the team goes". He's arguably been our best forward so far this month. So, you know...better play him for 9 minutes only.

He's been the habs best producer this month. What worries me is if MT were to give him more icetime, he'd be facing tougher defensive matchups. It's worth a shot, but I don't know if he'd really help offensively against top pairings.

Interesting stats...as per NHL.com, we have a 1st line centre and 3 2nd line centres..

NHL Scoring Leaders Centre Position

Plekanec- 23rd
Desharnais- 39th
Eller- 47th
Galchenyuk- 51st

No doubt Gally would be much higher if MT gave him some more icetime and maybe a little bit more PP time.

remember that Eller and Chucky have that production without hardly any power play time when compared to Plekanec and Desharnais. :handclap:

I'm really starting to believe, sky is actually the limit for this guy. His progression actually is unbelievable, and he's already outscored Seguin in his 18 years old season, where he scored 22 points in 72 games, versus 23 in 43 for Chucky.

If he gets more playing time next season and bulks up a bit in the summer, it wouldn't surprise me if he had a 50-60 points season. He's on his way to become a serious offensive threat. Likely the best offensive player in the current NE division.

Dangerous words. Not to be repeated in presence of Sens or Leafs fans.

I agree with you but the Karlsson and Kadri fanboys would go on a crusade hearing that.

Obviously I was talking about forwards.

As for Kadri, he's already starting to fall back on earth. Remember when Kris Versteeg was a top-scorer in the league at some point last season?

But yeah... indeed.

Yes. It's time to give him more responsibilities, honestly. Not saying to send him out against the best lines out there, but he's able to give this team about 14-15 minutes a night as much as any of our forwards, especially the way they play right now.

I would rather kick the edge of a door-way with my bare toes than see Galchenyuk play on the PP over DD.

I would also rather see you kick the edge of a door-way with your bare toes than see galchenyuk play on the PP :sarcasm: over the DD:sarcasm:

Not. Galchenyuk for president.

Of course, that shooting percentage is unsustainable. Galchenyuk is going to have to learn to get more shots on the net.

Calling out the people who wanted to send him back down that he wasn't ready and didn't want to burn a year on his contract

Those are two different reasons. ;) I still would`ve sent him down, like pretty much any 18 year old. As great as it is to see him contribute at such a young age, I have no doubt that he`ll be much better at 20-26 years old.
