If Galchenyuk keeps playing like he has the last couple of games, then the Habs will be very tough in the playoffs. Don't forget our rise to first in the NE has happened with Chucky in a slump.

HAHAHA I KNOW RIGHT

What the hell are you talking about? Do you actually believe a shot that misses the net completely has a better chance of going in than one placed into the goalies chest? :help:

I wonder if Gionta has mentoring Galchy on his shot... Would kind of explain a lot.

Yeah I love how he tries to pick those spots and snipe every time...but sometimes I wish he would just shoot it into the goalie instead. At least that one has a chance of going in.

F* No.

He is 19 not 28.

Everytime he shoots, he needs to make sure he IS aiming because he is so young and so skilled that if he keeps up practicing always aiming for a target, he will end up being so elusive ( as he already is ) it will be redonculous.

His wrist shot and shifty skating is a deadly combination

+1

But the only problem I see right now is that he wiggles when in tight spot because of how gifted his hands are and how behind his one leg is in development ( and missing that all important draft year )

He needs to work on running/skating out of those tight spots.. But it will come.

Alex "wayne" gretzchenyuk still has time to win the calder

Believe it or not,

If we wakes up and breaks out, and score atleast 15 points in the next ten, He is deff considered for it.

Or he turns into a guy who never ever hits the net and therefore never scores any goals? He would probably have twice as many goals or more as he has right now if he would just shoot it on net.

Yes this is the NHL, you can pick your spot if you like, but make sure you hit the net! I love this kid but it is my only criticism of his game. I remember watching him play earlier this year in Sarnia and thinking the exact same thing. If only he could fine tune it a little bit...We can all see how close he is to hitting those spots when he takes those dirty shots of his. But they all seem to miss the net, which doesn't help the team. You don't win the game with the amount of scoring chances you get unfortunately...

I agree that he doesn't hit the net, But who can actually even see the puck.. Who says it didn't go through the goalie and net? :P

But this kids passes are so threading the needle that his powerful star treak warp speed like shots will eventually end up hitting their targets..

Remember his knee injury and Lost draft year make him that much more nervous when winding up with the shot.. Because they are all JUST missing the targets..

I predict, with his skill set, he could very possibly become one of the highest % players of hitting the back of the net compared to how many shots he takes

At the start of the year in Sarnia his accuracy was off then he caught fire and was hitting every corner, once he gets more confidence his accuracy will improve and he'll start sniping.

It's probably the worst nickname ever. But I love your determination to make it happen. Spamming the Chucky thread and now creating a new thread.

Kid is unreal. We have to remember that he's barely 19, and he missed a full season. Really think he's going to be an explosive, flashy 80+ point player real soon.

Lets trade him.

Imagine all the picks we could get.

"The Montreal Canadiens have traded Alex Gal-****ing-chenyuk"

His wrist shot is beautiful. I can see him scoring 20-30 goals next season if his accuracy improves.
