Also looking for a video of "the deke" from tonight's game... first game I can't watch all freaking year and this happens lol.

To be fair, he made that deke on Hainsey, who was probably still drunk from the night before in Montreal.

If Galchenyuk keeps playing like he has the last couple of games, then the Habs will be very tough in the playoffs. Don't forget our rise to first in the NE has happened with Chucky in a slump.

Yeah and just wait until he starts hitting the net instead of missing every shot!

Yeah I love how he tries to pick those spots and snipe every time...but sometimes I wish he would just shoot it into the goalie instead. At least that one has a chance of going in.

I have this feeling that he's going to breakout in the playoffs. Aside from the goal, he made some pretty good set ups that could have netted him a couple assists.

Perhaps the fatigue was more mental, but whatever was causing his slump seems to be fading. So happy to see him get rewarded for his hard work. Here's hoping he comes alive playoff time.

He's also using his body to challenge on the boards instead of using the stick only. The hits aren't hard but they are forceful. It's a treat to watch his evolution.

...For the boards and glass behind the net. :sarcasm::(

Soon they'll start going in...

I think he's forcing the shots. He should be more like Pacioretty and try to get shots on net with his quick release and hope for a good bounce since goalies will have trouble handling it.

Hes improving defensively as well. Hes creating chances and like others have said, it's only a matter of time until he starts burying his shots. So pumped for Alex!

No, it does not. You look at where you're shooting, while you're shooting, and you rip it. Galchenyuk knows this.

Mike Bossy says that he never tried to pick the corners. He just shot in the general direction of the goalie. Pretty sure Bossy was a decent sniper ;)

He's breaking out right now, I predict he will get pts in most of the remaining regular season games.

Can someone tell me why alex galchenyuk's salary cap is 3.250Million?

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/team/Montreal-Canadiens

It shows it on the side there...

I thought he was a rookie?

He has a base salary of 925k, but the rest is in bonuses. Thing is bonuses count on the cap whether you meet the conditions to receive them or not. So his salary is 925k, but he could have as much as 3.25M, if he meets all the requirements to get the bonuses, which is unlikely.

What the hell are you talking about? Do you actually believe a shot that misses the net completely has a better chance of going in than one placed into the goalies chest? :help:

What impresses me about Alex is his defensive awareness. He plays great in all three zones. He could have been the #1 overall pick. Much more complete as a player than Nail Y.
