The Habs are winning games and Galchenyuk is getting valuable experience at the NHL level without having the pressure to need to score for his team. I think this has actually been a perfect development year for him and that this experience has been much better for him than if he had stayed in Junior.
Also, I don't see the reason the change the lineup around to 'get him going'. Habs are winning right now and you don't mess with a winning lineup just to get your rookie some points.
I tend to lean towards this.
Chuckie still has a high ceiling, I see this season as a learning experience. And hey, it's still not over yet. Playoffs to come.
One of the biggest things Chuckie needs to change in the offseason, his weight. He likes board play, which is a positive, however tends to get out-muscled quite often.
Still young though, plenty of time.
