I think booing can be inspirational to those players. I wonder how productive it is.

But anyway, it's about entertainment and people like to boo.
Maybe if it were the Habs or Leafs he'd gone to it would be more fun, but I feel pretty indifferent to the Wings in general. He'll get the light Dubois treatment and that'll be it I imagine.

I think you'll be surprised.

Ottawa fans love to boo. And now "woo" apparently too.

You're doing God's work up there friend. We need Sens fans in all corners of this great nation.
Just returning the favor for them coming here on their Northern tour during the lockout.. You'll find me on the corner of 3rd and Main spreading the good word homeless man, street preacher style.

Fun fact. I play against Dylan Cozens' dad in rec and he's like the nicest guy ever. He apologizes whenever there's any sort of contact and then he'll try to help you up if you fall. Just don't end up in his court room.

Where would we be cap wise if DeBrincat signed here long term at 8+

It would be interesting to see the changes in who Dorion signed if that deal went through.

Likely signs Korpisalo Jul 2.

Probably doesn't sign Tarasenko .. that probably would not have transpired the same way.

No Kubalik

In a bubble, for this team right now, I prefer Tarasenko to DeBrincat.
DeBrincat was yesterday. He's not living rent free in my head
Game is tomorrow actually ;)

Debrincat replaces tarasenko and Kubalik. No korpisalo I’m guessing or we play a bit more hardball with him. Would have been tough honestly. Maybe no brannstrom either we go out and get. A vet for one million.

“No, I never asked for a trade,” DeBrincat told The Athletic. “I said I wasn’t going to sign long-term. And they took that as writing on the wall.”

If you are refusing to sign, aren't you saying you won't stay? Isn't that the "writing on the wall"?

Most teams won't play out the last year with a UFA, so it's usually a no brainer that you're getting dealt if you won't sign.
Exactly
It was never about the players ability, but more about his laziness while being paid 6.4MM$
Laughing on the bench after a 23rd shot 3 feet wide while being -32 is funny but not everytime maybe

Best reaction would be complete indifference.

Dude didn't care in his time here, so why waste the lung power on him on his return?

DBC had 66 pts here last yr, he did okay, he's a good player, just wanted to go home or more likely his wife wanted to go home. Happy wife ... Happy life. BTW that was a good check by Greig that nailed DBC into the boards, one ref was right beside them & didn't call it while the other who was outside the blueline did. The refs are always trying to control the game & not let it get out of hand & it hurt Ottawa today. Ott had their chances too & didn't capitalize like Det did on the PP.

He sucked yesterday lol.

I liked him
Here. Not as harsh in him as some others.

But he definitely seems to be missing that It factor. The guy had no response yesterday and it was Larkin that turned it up and saved him the embarrassment

Leading the league in goals and points. But hey, cannot drive his line so not really a useful player ......

He was just stuck in a bad situation for his game last year. This year you are seeing the real Debrincat.

DJ played Cat and Stutzle together for a total of 6 minutes last year lol.
just terrible management

Spend a top 10 pick on a player and do nothing to convince him that you want him to stay expect play him with a bunch of miscast centers
