I have no way of really backing this up but he seems to have been doing that over his last few at bats. If he can learn how to lay off of breaking balls, he could be an important bat next season with Saunders, Bautista, and EE potentially leaving. Of course, this is unlikely since it has been a very (and I mean very) small sample size, but hey, I can dream.
