Monsters game delayed because Toronto team doctor is stuck in traffic. Driving there last year the city was a mess, and looked like it would be for a long while.

The only solution is don't drive in Toronto. Cities that size don't have room for cars.

We stayed downtown, so it was a chore just getting from the highway to the hotel. Once we parked the car, we didn't use it until we left. Walking and the subway is the way to go.

Today's lines

Fix-Wolansky/Gaunce/Meyer
Pyythia/McKown/Bemstrom
Malatesta/Del Bel Belluz/Ahcan
Pearson/Butler (Gaudet)/O. Sillinger

Svozil/Blankenburg
Christiansen/Clayton
Bjork/Ceulemans
Knazko/Sweezey

Greaves
Cajan

No power play work today, so we'll have to wait until Saturday night to see how those lines shape up sans Johnson.

Hey two questions to you Cleveland folks:

- is it alright to go to Monsters games with a CBJ jersey? I kind of assume that's acceptable and approved... Is it common enough around town that people don't give any weird looks, though?

- is the ticket office busy before games, for example if the game starts at 12:30, when would be the best time to get a ticket (in terms of lines, obviously the earlier the better but I wonder how long the lines will be 30 minutes before the game, for example)? It seems the games are selling well, I saw something on Twitter about breaking attendance record with like 11k people, so I guess it'll be slim pickings at the venue but probably some upper level tickets available anyway. (SeatGeek only works in the U.S./Canada/Mexico, good riddance...)

Wear whatever jersey you like, I'll wear Columbus or Monsters jerseys. People wear all kinds of jerseys. I wouldn't worry about weird looks from anyone. There are still quite a few people here that aren't aware we have a hockey team.

Not sure about the ticket office, the doors open an hour before the game. Where the ticket office is, those doors open an hour and a half before the game. When I have looked, it doesn't seem busy, but I honestly don't pay too much attention to it.

Tarasov in net. Monsters wearing new Jackets themed jerseys. Red state of Ohio with blue circle around it. I like when they wear the Jackets colors.

Monsters lead after 1st 2-0. Tarasov faced 7 shots and was tested on a couple. So far so good.

I saw on the Monster's schedule there's a Blue Jackets theme night coming up on December 27th;
Blue Jackets Night: The team will wear special Blue Jackets-inspired jerseys while the in-game presentation for the evening will include elements from the Monsters’ NHL affiliate in Columbus

Yeah, I'm not sure what those will look like, I think they will be different from these. They would wear these on Friday night games and instead of the logo they have tonight, they had a large C on the front.

Tarasov faced 5 shots in the 2nd. Gave up a goal, didn't seal the post and ended up in the net on his back. The D is doing a good job limiting shots so far, so that's good.

Malatesta has 2 goals and Gaunce the other. They have looked good thru 2 tonight. 3-1.

Monsters give up early goal than get it back a minute later. Malatesta again, 3rd goal in 4 periods. Really nice pass from DBB to set op the goal. Malatesta is fun to watch. Might be a nice player if he can keep developing.

He'd have interesting upside if he had some vision and hands but even still he could be a valuable disruptor who can add some goals to the bottom lines someday

Christainsen fromm DBB. Again, nice pass from DBB. Also a fun player to watch, right there with Malatesta. Sillinger just scored. DBB with his 3rd assist already. Sillinger line with DBB and Malatesta responsible for all 3 goals. 3-1.

He said in an interview he models his game after Marchand. He gets involved and isn't shy throwing his body into checks. I can see some of Marchand's game in him. Haven't seen the dirty crap yet.

Monsters give up another and we get it right back. TFW off a bad turnover. 4-2. 6 goals 13 minutes in. Not a goalie clinic. McKown from Bemstrom as I am typing this. 5-2.

Monsters choking lead. What was a 5-2 lead has turned into a 6-5 lead with 11 minutes left.
