Bemstrom is one of the guys that tears up the minors, then seems to disappear when he moves up to the NHL.

I think it was the covid year when the overseas leagues started up and Bemstrom went over there and did real well for a bit.

I think he might be one of those guys that are too good for the minors, but not quite an NHL player. You have to wonder what is missing in his game when he moves up.

He stands out like Marchenko did at this level, but Kirill is able to produce, and Emil hasn't, in Columbus.

That’s probably right. I’m hopeful that Chinakov isn’t Bemstrom 2.0. They both seem to score consistently in space, but in the NHL that space isn’t there

That pass looked like vintage Kent Johnson (the good kind). Reminded me of the set up to Marchenko last year. The kind of no look pass that never works when anyone else tries it but he can do it. Perhaps he has his confidence and legs back.

Cleveland is back on top of the North Division mountain. I think Monster has the right idea watching Cleveland hockey. Less heartache.

Pyyhtia scores from Bemstrom and Johnson. 1-0. Bemstrom's first assist after 5 straight goals. Emil entered the game shooting 50 percent.

Edit: Johnson scores with assists from Bemstrom and Pyyhtia. This has been a real good scoring line.
