Considering that Korpi is back, Tarasov will be in Cleveland shortlyTyler Angle with the equalizer. 1st goal. Chicago takes back the lead before I can finish typing this. We need a goalie here. Tarasov?
Seriously bring these two up and play them togetherPretty goal by Marchenko from Bemstrom. If you can find it, watch it. Nice.
They did it againSeriously bring these two up and play them together
They did it again
Here was Bemmer’s goal from earlier
Yes pleaseBemstrom again. Let's get the hatty!
This is a dumb question but what is the difference between assigning and loaning?
Maybe it is also because Tarasov has a 1 way deal while Jiricek is on the 2 way?As far as I understand it, assigning a player is an assured thing. The team you assign the player to has to take the individual, whereas loaning a player both parties need to agree to the deal.
If I had to guess, this player has an AHL contract. AHL Cleveland does not have the power the NHL does, where they can assign a prospect to the AHL. NHL contracts are somewhat linked to the AHL as well, whereas AHL and ECHL contracts are separate. So with a limited number of roster spots and I’ve time they asked Kalamazoo to take a player that does not have an ECHL contract.
Oh sorry, I thought you were talking about the Tyler Irvine guy.Maybe it is also because Tarasov has a 1 way deal while Jiricek is on the 2 way?
That’s especially true on power plays, where he’s playing on the right wall opposite Bemstrom. Along with connecting on passes to Bemstrom and others, Marchenko has also used his own shot to score two power-play goals and even has a play named after him.
“He is a hockey nerd and I mean that in the most endearing way,” said Letestu, who has noticed Marchenko trying out moves in practice that he’s seen on NHL Network. “Our first week, he came in, went through our power play meeting and suggested a play … and it’s already worked twice now. So, we just call it ‘The Marchy.’ That’s what I mean. He’s engaged here and I think that’s why he’s having the success he’s having.”
