Monstrs lose 3-2. Pulled Jet with about 2 minutes left and just couldn't mount any kind ofattack. Two more this weekend, hopefully better results.

Healthy scratches are Irvine, Clayton, Bjorgvik-Holm, and Berni. Dunne must've just been out of practice that day and I'm still mystified by the Bjorgvik-Holm situation.

I'll deep dive more into the lines after all three games are played this weekend. Looking at the schedule, not sure the Monsters are coming home to practice in Strongsville next week.

Christiansen having a rough night defensively, judging by the highlights.

Vogelhuber said they've been practicing special teams this week, did anyone catch the PP lineups vs Utica? On the Gaunce goal it's supposedly their PP1?

------------- Meyer/Gaunce
Bemstrom - Gaunce/Meyer - Marchenko
------------- Jiricek

I've got the PP lineups from opening weekend scribbled on the back of my scorecards. I'll check them in a few minutes and post them here.

Those forwards with Christiansen were PP1 opening weekend.

PP2 included Fix-Wolansky, Dunne, Angle, Fonstad, and Jiricek. Not sure how that line looks now with Angle hurt.

That's how I remember last weekend's units too. I doubt they've brought in new guys for PP2 except for one replacing Angle (Knazko would be my choice), I guess Christiansen is still the pointman on other unit.

Irvine and Cajan debuting tonight
Same three guys out injured
Knazko scratched (rest)
Fix-Wolansky out ill
Clayton and Bjorgvik-Holm healthy scratches
sounds like Bjorgvik-Holm made the trip but hasn't practiced well enough to crack the lineup

all per Tony Brown on the radio broadcast

PP2 tonight is Fonstad, Dunne, Sillinger, Bayreuther, and Christiansen

The two-D PP2 is not uncommon for the Monsters. Used it most of last season, IIRC

losing 2-1 through 40

Yeah I don't mind watching more than one D on the PP if they have better puck skills and vision than a forward. Based on this period Bayreuther for example looks poised on the blueline and has sufficient skills for the job while Sweezey should have no business in seeing any time on man advantage.

Bemstrom showing up! Heads up goal mouth pass on the tying goal and great short side snipe on the PP from Jiricek pass to give Monsters 3-2 lead.
