The Jiricek knee collision that drew a penalty was the first one I've seen since summer WJC.

Jiricek's skating needs some improvement. He kinda just shuffles his feet instead of crossing over. Don't think it would be good for his development to be called up anytime soon

Yup, and that's not even the only reason to keep him in Cleveland.

He's gonna be a beast, but it'll be a little while. A year or two of consistent skating and strength development will do him well

Tried to dodge a forechecker in front of Monsters goal but collided with him. They got a PP out of that, Jiricek was fine.

Imo he's been pretty good overall aside from one bad giveaway in the second period. And that collision of course.

He just hit crossbar with a wrister off the rush

What happened with Jiricek? How has he looked in general?

He's had some impressive offensive plays. Had 2 really nice plays where he walked guys on the blue line with his long reach. Also had a huge wrist shot from the top of the circle that went off the cross bar. He just needs to learn how to use his body more and that'll happen with improved strength and skating. He looks like how Laine has tried to hit smaller guys and just bounces off of them
