If you take everything that's said on the internet literally you'll live a stressful life.
Sorry got it now thanks for enlightening. HF anonymous and the internet are a "tad" different but hey what evert you are comfortable with!! Are you really Pierre Dorion - hope cool if I was messaging with an actual NHL GM! Now I ams sorry if I offended Mr. Dorion.

Nobody is debating the defensive part, nor that C. brown is a better player overall. All I’m saying is that if you give Gaudette all the prime chances and breakaways that Brown got, he’d have more goals. I was just suggesting it as an option until Drakes comes back
Both Brown and Paul should be in the top 20 NHL points with the ice time they get and zone starts11

Yeah but *would* gaudette get all the breakaways and scoring chances brown gets? That’s a skill in itself.

Talented player. Weird guy.

Do not play him at C. Vancouver spent almost 4 years trying to make the C thing work and it just doesn't. Can not handle the defensive side of the game at the NHL level at that position. And he's a shooter, not a distributor. Needs to play on wing on a scoring line.

If he gets some confidence back and is used on the wing with a good playmaking C, I'm convinced he could pop 20-25 goals. But he has never even remotely been put in that situation. Virtually all of his NHL games are as a fish-out-of-water bottom-6 C.
We’re playing him at C.
LOL

Congrats Hockey Gaud for getting a goal, esp. against your former team. Wish he could've worked out with us, but he's a good, hard working guy, kind of a bigger and probably more skilled Ennis.

He literally directly cost us two goals, including his 1st shift 1 minute into the game.

I dunno, that one where he fell was a blunder, but he was surrounded by 3 Canucks alone in front of our net…. Like where did everyone else go?!?

Crazy bad game last night, locals were happy though :)

he skated back into our zone by himself to go around 3 guys. Everyone was moving up ice and he decided not to. It was a stupid decision but I guess he’s in fine company on this team.

Yeah the turn back is classic for several members these days!

The support in the D zone is really bad at times, and last night we couldn’t skate or pass through the neutral zone to save our lives.

Maybe we should have just trapped all night and jumped on turnovers.

I can't jump on the hate bandwagon for this guy. The team is totally disorganized and everyone is jumping up and down that he made some mistakes in his first game. Of all the things wrong with the team right now, Gaudette is pretty low on the list. Get some team structure and identity and then see how he fits. I think it's a little unfair to crucify him for one game where EVERYONE was off.

of all the things wrong with this team he is one of them, just like all the other shit waiver fodder players we’ve brought in - and specifically last night he was a big part of why we lost.
2 ridiculously brtual plays leading directly to the kind of goals early this team simply cannot afford to give up.
Why does new f***ing guy get a pass? It’s not his fault we claimed him, but it’s reality.

He doesn’t get a pass, and he certainly looked gutted.

But he just arrived and played his first game. He made two mistakes in a D zone that looks like it’s pure luck if you make a pass to another one of your own players, and turning back into your zone with the puck is the preferred play.

I don’t think we should ever hold a guy to the fire in his first game, especially arriving to this team right now. He scored a goal, that’s great, and made a couple doozy plays on the D zone, not so great.

So why isn’t he playing? Cause he had a bad game and we’re winning now?

He'll probably come in at Tierney's expense at some point in the near future. Hopefully he's been re-ionizing his electrons or whatever bullshit he thinks those crystals do for him.
