I'd like to see both Fox and DeAngelo get chances with the first PP unit. We'll have to see how things shake out as the season progresses and Quinn finds the best 5-man combo.

It’s pretty stacked already. But anything can change as the season progresses. But yeah think Fox and/or DeAngelo can really do a lot on the PP. Just have to wait and see.

adam fox will get some PP minutes im sure.

gotta believe quinn knows that jakes shot is a bomb and will use it. does be have the smarts on top though to get it through and the release thats quick enough to not have it blocked or deflected ? can he effectively walk the top and create space, shoot it off the pass and get that shot on net ?

fox can do those things it seems. thats his bread and butter.

ADA also shines on the PP point with the puck.

i still believe that both FOX and ADA could play with trouba. they are both like forwards and ADA may be the best passer on the entire team anyway with FOX not far behind.

Quinn has lots of options on the PP. i expected this PP to be dangerous and effective.

I think the team will really struggle defensively to start the year with all the changes, but I was quite pleased with his poise during the preseason and I think he can rack up some points for the get-go.

I remember that so vividly. I was at my buddy's apartment. It was the first year of the SO. I was actually pumped for the SO at that point, thinking it was gonna be this crazy thing. A year later, I hated it.
I don’t get to go to many games generally, maybe one or two per year. But I WAS fortunate to be at that Malik shootout. What a fantastic game that was. Lundqvist was amazing through that shootout too. He really stole them the extra point that night.

By the way, this is my first post. Nice forum you got here.

That bank pass to Panarin for the pornhub tic tac toe goal says it all. This guy has a future in the NHL. He has the puck skills and the vision, which is extremely important for modern NHL defensemen.

That was a thing of beauty. Too bad he didn't get an assist on that one because he basically started that whole sequence.

It doesn't matter, the coach, fans and teammates give him the fist bump. The opportunity for all that to happen did happen because Fox could transition the puck so quickly, that the forwards had room to play their fantasy attack.

I get Soviet vibes watching that goal and I've watched it ALOT. Defensemen that can transition so quickly will become gold. I hope he hones that skill of his.

Id wager that NONE of us have been in a big league locker room aside from visiting on a tour or some ****.

I basically grew up in the Islanders locker room in the 90s. We lived next door to David Volek and in the same neighborhood as Muller, Vokuta, Flatley, Thomas and Lafontaine. Those guys taught me how to skate from the time I was like 4. Nicole Muller was my first crush in school. Just a little gee wiz info, and of course the Rangers won when I was 9 and I became a Rangers fan

You can't teach patience and poise like he has. He is no Makar but he's gonna get better and better.

It's a small sample size, but what I saw was cold blooded.* (*Dave Chappelle as Rick James)

I'll be frank, I dislike his face and keep a close eye on him, I also thought we overpaid.

Many of you pointed out how mature his game is, I saw it, I get it. He's a stabilizing factor at 21 years of age.

Becoming a fan.

It is very early in the process, but again, the maturity stands out. There will be ups and downs, but as long as people are realistic with who he is and what he can be, he will be a good defenseman for the Rangers.

The size thing does worry me as I see him having a hard time defending the net.

Exactly.

His read is so quick on that play, just a glance.

For anyone who missed it, check out Loffen's video and watch Fox's head and eyes.
