The good news is he is just getting into his prime being his third season. With his brain, the more he sees and experiences the absolute better he gets.
It's hard to describe players that slow the game down and anticipate what's going to happen. There really aren't many that can.
For instance, Bobby Orr was once asked how he gets around players so easy and goes end to end. He said he just watches where the other player plants his leg when skating backwards and heads for that side, easy peasy. Which if you think about it, in real time, even for an above average player (Orr was many levels above that) in an NHL game is pretty ludicrous to even try.
I am not saying Fox is Bobby Orr, who I never saw play, I am just pointing out the great players just do things, think things consistently different than the average player.
I can't even see the way another player plants his leg in a beer league game. Lol
Fox does similar things every game. Always in the right spot, a quick look before getting the puck, a juke, jive, and then making a precise pass and almost always making the correct decision. It really is fun to watch.
I haven't been this fascinated watching a player since Gretzky and Lemieux. The former is the absolute smartest player to ever skate within the framework of a hockey game not sure how he would do at physics and the latter the most physically talented player ever.
There are other guys that I enjoyed watching but being up close and personal with Fox is pretty damn cool.
