God bless his father. Can you imagine him with an Islanders jersey along Barzal and Trotz?
I'd kill myself.
That's the situation NYR prospect Nils Lundqvist is in but only much more up to scale. He plays for Luleå, while his dad is the sports chief of Skellefteå, which is a big rivalry, kind of the same as the NYR - NYI rivalry. It would be like Fox playing for the Rangers while his dad it the GM of the Islanders. But, Nils is from the small town between them (Piteå, home of Renberg, Holmström, Öhlund, etc) so he's kind of neutral I guess.

Yeah. The entire family used to be Skellefteå fans but now they root for Luleå.

Agree with everything said here. There is a certain level of comfort in being able to depend on your partner and know where each other are going to pass or going to be on the ice. These 2 have been together since juniors at WJC. You can tell they have built a strong rapport together and there’s a level of comfort with each other. It 100% helps fox be more great, I also think lindgren has more growing to do as a player. He’s an excellent skater and could possibly add more offense to his game
If Lindgren adds one more offensive element to his game (wrist shot, slap shot, or playmaking), he will be so good.

NHL 2020-21 player value projections
Updated: Apr 7th

At the moment there are only 8 skaters with a higher projected value (GSVA) than Adam Fox, and they’re all forwards.

All the defensemen on this list are great, but I have a hard time calling it a credible metric for the guys on Colorado, for example. There are 3 of them - isn’t this just a product of the Avs taking every other team’s lunch money?

Makes Fox look all that much better I suppose.

We like to categorize things in boulder sizes.

I love to do the same, most western countries have kind of the same reference points and comes from related languages so you recognize most comparisons. But I used to spend a lot of times with Finns when I lived up north growing up and it was very funny because in Finnish they have like their complete own set of sayings. I recon all languages like English, French Spanish, Swedish have some version of ‘it’s like watching paint dry’ or something like that, while in Finnish they will say something like ‘it’s like waiting for the last flake of a blizzard’, and often it can be a little bit more obscene stuff too. I had a few bilangual coaches with Finnish as their mother tongue and they would always crack you up “Ola the worst birthday party is when you are alone with a cake, do not leave No 11 open infront of the net”. You kind of get the gist of it, but...
