Tim Erixon before that

Saw that too, but again, thinking he's speculating.I'm pretty sure he also deleted another post or edited.
Edit - Nope it's from another thread
Can't speak for all, but for those chastising the "we're not happy crowd" I feel it's more like "Yes of course it's a good deal for the prospect he is, however I had higher hopes for OUR 2nd this year and next"
It's not a bad deal at all. CAR had to deal him or lose for nothing so it's good on them also. I just wish it was the Tampa pick and our 3rd this year instead of the cond next year.
It's not about the value of this player vs those picks it's about having the ammo to move up IMO
I'm interested to see what his contract looks like.
Looking at him, I would guess no.Radko Gudas was also picked 66th. Did he go to Harvard? If so Gorton MUST go after him.
My feelings on this exactly. Losing 37 hurts our chances of landing someone who falls out of the top 10.
If we got too greedy, we might not have gotten him. Anything less than a 1st is amazing for us. The other problem was that if we waited for him to play one more year in college, it could have potentially stunted his growth. Paying that extra conditional 3rd for better development is great.Oh wow, 37th and if Fox plays 30+ games it’s another 2nd. Don’t know why Gorton was so aggressive when it’s not like we’ll need him next year. I cannot wait though, we get to see Kakko, Kravtsov, Shestyorkin, and Fox now next year. While Fox by himself is worth 2 2nds easily, we could’ve waited and signed him for free. Unless Gorton knew that another team was interested in trading for Fox as well that Fox might be interested in signing with and he decided to grab him before that happened
Thought it said Makar's stats from last year so nvm. Still its a comparison of a Soph to a JuniorActually, Makar was a sophomore. Fox is only 10 months older.
Also, look at Fox's freshman year stats...
