Corey Pronman:
NCAA UFA this year, expected to sign by this weekend. Potential Schultz replacement?
Do the Caps have the inside track?

One would expect a Pronman to be huge. Not that I'm aware of. Supposedly 20-25 teams are interested, which isn't surprising. The dude is huge and has decent offensive upside.

In terms of raw size maybe but Sustr is a righty.NCAA UFA this year, expected to sign by this weekend. Potential Schultz replacement?

If they have the inside track on anyone it would be defenseman Nate Schmidt since he was at their development camp last summer but only a slight advantage.
If Grabovski is on the outs in Toronto I'd think we should be on it, especially if Kulemin can be brought in as well. Better long term C solution than Ribeiro at a 6x5 contract I'd think, especially if he evolves more defensively. Kulemin would be the perfect utility winger to put with Ovechkin or Kuznetsov or whoever.
5x5.5, 4yr left after this year.
MoJo gets way less than 3, Alzner gets more than 2.5 (but taken together they cancel out so it doesn't matter).
Smid will be the best Dman on the market probably, so I could see him getting more maybe.
Dear god, Johansson getting paid more than Alzner, Fehr, and Perreault?
What do you guys think Johansson'll get? Who's his comparable? Duchene? And yeah, Smid could easily be too low. Anyway I mostly wanted to see what could actually be put together for next year.

Even if you think he's good, you would have to be bat**** insane to give him anything over $2mil.What do you guys think Johansson'll get? Who's his comparable? Duchene? And yeah, Smid could easily be too low. Anyway I mostly wanted to see what could actually be put together for next year.

Today, I checked HFBoards just to see who flinched and said "Komisarek".
He put up 53, 59, and 48 points in a similar role before. He's fine for it if Ovechkin gets firing again..Laich is not a long-term solution for 1LW. He's just not that good.
