Should Chicago have taken Matvei Michkov in the 2023 draft instead of Connor Bedard?

Forgot to add the poll but probably makes sense because it would be closed for lopsided

Edit: nvm thought this was in polls. Obvious answer is no.

Connor Bedard has been terrible while Matvei Michkov has been as good as advertised. Chicago made a mistake.

They took the player who, through all projection and conventional wisdom, appeared to be the best player. No team passes on a seemingly safe pick for a 1C Bedard to take a boom or bust 1W Michov at #1.

Do you think the Oilers made a mistake by not taking Morgan Reilly at #1? What about the Rangers for taking Pavel Brendl when Zetterberg was still on the table?

Even if Michov is better, you can be wrong without it being a mistake.

Beta Bedard: gets hurt in his rookie yer

Manly Mitchkov: so alpha his coach scratches him so he doesn't score too much and get too cocky (too late)

Yes, the Oilers made a huge mistake taking Yakupov #1.
