Starting to think they made the wrong choice. Just like the Bears picking Caleb Williams over Jayden Daniel’s.
Mickhov is looking like the better player right now.No, and they would have been universally mocked for doing so. You don't always have to try and reinvent the wheel.

Connor Bedard has been terrible while Matvei Michkov has been as good as advertised. Chicago made a mistake. That's not how time works.
5 goals in his last 33 games. 8 in his last 43. On pace to only score 14 goals this season.Wow didn’t know bedard is terrible. Silly thread mate
Lol both have thirteen points bud.Connor Bedard has been terrible while Matvei Michkov has been as good as advertised. Chicago made a mistake.

Yes, the Oilers made a huge mistake taking Yakupov #1.They took the player who, through all projection and conventional wisdom, appeared to be the best player. No team passes on a seemingly safe pick for a 1C Bedard to take a boom or bust 1W Michov at #1.
Do you think the Oilers made a mistake by not taking Morgan Reilly at #1? What about the Rangers for taking Pavel Brendl when Zetterberg was still on the table?

I could understand why some low information fans would think this , but no.Starting to think they made the wrong choice. Just like the Bears picking Caleb Williams over Jayden Daniel’s.
Maybe if Brian Burke told themThat's not what I asked, I asked if they should have taken Reilly at #1 when Yakupov was the clear cut #1 all year.
