You're in the Western Conference Finals, Jets, and you're 3 wins from a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals. Is it really too much to ask or too hard to put in a full 60 minutes and stick to the game plan of what got us here?

What is frustrating to me is this team is shooting itself in the foot right now. It looks like it's all mental to me, and for whatever the reason they just cannot execute. We are so damn close. We are (on paper) a much better, deeper and more talented team than Vegas. Put in a full 60 minutes executing the game plan that makes this team so damn good and this series is ours.

I don't know what this team has to do to get their shit together but they gotta do it start to finish in game 4 and go back home with a 2-2 series.

Why don't you give Vegas some credit? Why is it Winnipeg's series to lose? Why is it that any Vegas win is a mental mistake night for the Jets?

I do give Vegas credit (I didn't mention it in that post). Their aggressive attack is smothering the Jets and leaving us looking frantic out there with very little room, we're fumbling pucks, making silly passes, not skating, etc. Vegas is extremely well coached. They're a team operating on the same page and giving teams fits. They're a fast team, they come at you in constant waves and are relentless on the puck. We look like a deer caught in headlights at times. The same way we did when Nashville played the trap on us. I think it's all mental and it starts with the Jets not moving their feet when the opposing team scores an early goal or executes their game plan on us. We get caught up watching and check out of doing what makes us a successful team.

To me this is the same thing we witnessed vs. Nashville when they played the trap on us. I felt we were the better team or at least a team who could beat the Preds "if we played our game". We came out on top. When I say "if we play our game" vs. Vegas it's the same thing, I believe we can come out on top.

I don't believe there is a team in this league that this Jets team cannot beat on any given night or in a 7 game series. Don't take my confidence as a slight to our competition, it isn't. We are facing good teams and teams who can very well beat us any night or in a 7 game series. I just believe that this Jets team can win it all, I think they're that good. But they must stick to doing what makes them successful.

The most worrisome thing for me - Vegas is beating us just like they beat everyone else. That means we are no different for them and their system. They are good at it and it works against us too. Other than shouting at everyone to move faster/quicker, I am not sure what Maurice brings to the table to guide this team to make appropriate adjustments. I guess we will see.

Liked Roslovic tonight, will Lowry or Copp ever score again, Matty P is pissing me off Little has already pissed me off and Helle needs to stay in his net until next year, this summer he can work on his behind the the net puck handling skills.

Either Little played hurt all season or he got old and over the hill really early in his career and really fast, guy is a shadow of what he was two years ago!

PS Little's decline was already pretty noticeable last season!

A friend of mine who went to Vegas for both games was harrassed non stop during the game to the point he isn't sure he wants to the next game.

Perreault needed to bury that one with 90% of the net open. No secondary scoring was our downfall.

Honestly though, I expect the Jets to come out flying next game. If we play like we did in the second half of that game it's no contest.

Win game 4, steal back home ice and it's a brand new series. I never had faith in the jets of the past to come back but I do in this team

I've seen both sides. I've been to some cities where I was treated very nicely... I've been to other places where I wouldn't go to the washroom by myself.

It's too bad, but it's the risk of visiting the enemies barn.

Because Jets' Best > Knights' Best But unfortunately no team that I have ever seen has played with the consistent effort and lack of mistakes than the Golden Knights. That third period was encouraging. It's rare to see the Knights have their bastille stormed like they did last night. Keep up that effort and have Fleury and Hellebuyck each play their average game and Jets will win

Lol.....when you score one goal, your goalie is not the reason why you lose, are you expecting a shutout every game?
How about 2 goals? Because they scored 2 and all.

Fleury has allowed less than 3 twice now, Helle needs to do the same, even if it's not all on him.

Valid question about player utilization - why move Tanev up to the second line when you have skill guys who would work better with Laine?

Gallant thinking to himself - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. WTF Paul, thanks for neutralizing Laine for me!?!?!?!? LOLOLOL
Agreed, not the guy to move up the lineup, that's still a weakness of Mo's.

Out of all the Jets he has disappointed me the most during the regular season and playoffs, is he injured, is he done, is he having an off year (2 years running) is very concerning considering he signed a new contract that kicks in next year, play must improve we can't pay a 3rd line centre over 5 mil a years.

That is sad because I have never heard or seen that any of their fans that came to Winnipeg to watch a game have ever been heckled by our fans.

The majority of their fan base quite honestly knows nothing about hockey or the suffering that comes from having a bad team.

My "guess" was Maurice wanted to keep the speed element on that line that Ehlers brings. Sometimes so long as you have a strong pair (Stastny - Laine) you can add a lesser talented, hardworking player like Tanev and see success.

Really hope the Jets can come out with much better efforts right out of the gate on Friday. One thing I didn't want to see but I did early last night was the Jets D taking their time getting the puck, and taking their time to try to move it up the ice. I think the way that Vegas is game-planning, that the Jets have to get the puck quick and either one pass it up the ice, or just flip it out to the neutral zone and attack it with speed.

A first year expansion team with a bunch of throwaways players from each team that has never played together before should not be where they are at right now.

It is an embarrassment to the league and it makes no sense.

I don't think any other major league would be celebrating that an expansion team is beating supposed upper echelon teams with big payrolls, it's great what they have done in Vegas having a great team andgetting the fans pumped but is this sustainable if they don't have great upcoming years , they have spoiled the fans in year one.
