What exactly does he bring to the team? All he has shown is that he can't score or make a play throughout his hockey career. He's a hired goon. Mach or Mittens would bring more to the team than Peluso ever will. When Wright became available after they picked up Peluso up, Peluso became expendable.

Oh yeah I would have loved to see Spencer Mach on the team. He really stepped up during his call-up.

yeah, the thing I really liked was seeing Jokinen drop down the line-up. He's had 10 games to work things out. He will be a producer for us. But he's gotta earn his ice-time a bit more now.

A comment on MIA Joke-in and it would have been a perfect post!
Part of his problem is that they've been trying to play two shooters together and it aint' working. Flip Ladd & Kane FFS. Jokinen will come around if paired with someone that at least throws him the puck on occasion.

Okay, most that could be said about this game has already been said. Kane was robbed several times, should still have put the puck in the net since that's what he gets paid for, offense was a bit off, Bryz was good. Good on Ladd getting those garbage goals, want to see Burmi get more chances offensively.
But I haven't seen anyone talk about this. Was it just me, or did Buff look incredibly slow? Rusty, yeah, I get that, but it almost seemed like he was afraid of getting hurt the way he skated.
Oh well, let's talk about how Chevy will pass on Barkov because he hates europeans until our game against the Pens!

I don't like Ladd. Sorry I chose tonight when he scored two goals to say so. I've said it before. Not ever going to change.
Redmond took a stupid penalty and the rest of the team besides him and Burmi did anything remotely good. That better? Do I fit into your idea of a good opinion?
I'm allowed an opinion. I don't need to be constantly chastised because of it. I don't need to be attacked because I have an opinion. This is exactly why I rarely post. I always get attacked for my opinions. I thought forums were for opinions and good hockey discussion? I love the Jets, but I'm allowed to dislike and criticize a player on one of my favourite teams. I love Malkin and I criticize him all the time. Ladd will play good and then pull a disappearing act for 10 games. I just don't think that shows the typical character of a top 6 player.
I don't have many people to talk hockey with and I'm not trying to stir up anything or troll Andrew Ladd as some people have said I was. I just have an opinion and was sharing it. So sorry for that.

No sorry dude you just don't know what your talking about. That Chicago team had arguably the most depth of any team post '04 lockout. Geez man I was a Canucks fan too but I don't still hate Ladd and Buff because of it anymore. If anything it enlightened me on why they are viewed the way they are throughout the rest of the league...

Pittsburgh had more depth. At least at centre they did.

You called him a 3rd liner claiming it's "your opinion" when no 3rd liner puts up points like he has for the last several years regardless what role he's been in. I think you should learn the difference between opinion and fact. You not liking Ladd is an opinion. Saying he's a top 6 winger is fact base off of facts.

since 2007 only one between Ladd + Kesler has dipped under top6 production: Kesler twice (2007-08 + 2011-12)
since 2007 Ladd has out produced Kesler except for two years, and only one year has Kesler scored more goals per ice-time

I was going to use Jordan Staal in Pittsburgh as an example, but that was a bit of an anomaly. No team in recent years was ever that deep at centre. But I'll say it, Jordan Staal was a third liner and he scored 20+ goals 3 times in Pittsburgh. Oh and that was as oh, a third liner.

The Jets wore me out tonight as well couldn't even remember what I'm even calling them anymore. These highs and lows following the Jets are tough, forgot what I missed after 1996.

Well yeah, the whole third line Ladd debate is something we've hashed out before. And likely will continue to in some form or other. I'm with Garret and most others thinking it's a no-brainer, but I do see the importance of constantly appraising the team.
But I just don't get the thought process behind bringing it up in this particular thread. There is no point other than to troll when he pots our only 2 goals and played a solid game showing some of the LLW magic chemistry is coming back. If you want to constantly beat the drum, even when Ladd has a pretty awesome game, then it's only fair to expect push back on opinion that is clearly a stranger to hard facts. Even by forum users who don't post often but read often like me.

You certainly are allowed an opinion. And people are allowed to give their opinion of your opinion. You can dislike any of the Jets all you want, but in the end you're in the Jets forum and you have to expect people will debate that. Doubly so with the reasons you've given.
I would think being a Canucks fan you'd have more of a hate-on for Byfuglien.
