I was reading on twitter that he was one the first line and the first PP. So, whoever thought he was going to be on the lower lines and used as a PK specialist can fu*k right off now eh?

respectfully speaking of course
His line started the game, but it was the 2nd line. Davies-Klassen-Stefan has been their top line all season, and they didn't change that. But Danielson did play on PP1 with those 1st line guys. He's clearly being depended on to provide offense. How much of a "shutdown role" he is assigned beyond that is secondary.

Nope. Your get the heck out of here with your updated information. I have my narrative, and facts will not get in the way.

The interwebs told me that Nate is the next Glendening. If he happens to start scoring better than a point per game...

...then I look forward to a grinder with a wicked backhand, that also happens to score on the forehand. :D

I'm surprised he's on PP1, but not surprised he's on line 2. Top line is scoring at a ridiculous pace, no reason they would break that up.

They must really want to win to throw that many picks at 2C.

I’m surprised you actually thought Danielson would only get PP2. Or that you don’t understand that Portland now has 2 first lines.

Danielson's shot and offense is underrated. He looks like a future stud in the making. If he only develops into a solid 2C, I'd be disappointed. I think his floor is a prime 80+ point Larkin.
You have very unrealistic expectations.

I don't like to talk about floors and ceilings, because I don't think there are any predictable absolutes when it comes to development.

What I saw from him in the preseason is very promising. While he looked great at both ends, showed some good hockey IQ, it was his calmness doing so that really stood out for me.
