Junior teams lots of times play all weekend days (fri-sat) as that is where the money comes from. Families with no work on the weekend can go to games. Harder sell to take the family to a weekday game, so they pack them in on the weekends.

If you haven't gotten the chance to see CHL Major Junior games, I highly recommend it. I was in Ontario for like three weeks on a client engagement and had most nights and weekends free with a colleague who was a major hockey fanatic and we took in a ton of OHL games and it's such a neat experience. Like all the towns are nice, albeit sometimes very blue-collar and dated, but in the middle of them all, the largest building often is their hockey arena. The concesions were cheap, and everyone for like miles is there. It's a very cool experience.
