No ones "Eichel Bashing" or atleast I don't intend to. He just hasn't been good in this tournament and looks off. Doesn't mean Matthews is better, doesn't mean Eichel is better, it means WTF is wrong with Eichel because we know he's immensely talented.
If McDavid could score goals he'd be so good.

Shocking to see an 18 year old kid losing battles along the boards against 30 year old Seasoned vets, I know.
Matthews has been incredible, It'd be nice to see McDavid finish....

Remember the play where Matthews passed to Eichel, McDavid was going for a breakaway 5 feet in front of him and Eichel makes a terrible pass? Eichel could even just have let that go through.
Eichel's been bad, as in every game.

It's a great question. The goal song for Sweden for the last couple of years if ****ing awful.
Sweden is a huge musical nation, probably apart most other nations in part of innovation and they play that garbage. Just great.

I like Gaudreau more than Drouin so far but I'd rather have Drouin back on that RNH-Mack line because they were much better with posession and board-work when Drouin was on that line.

You can't really evaluate players on short international tournaments like this

I really feel for Eichel, kids a beauty and will be a star in the league for years. Seems like he just cant get his confidence back, very nervous with puck and thinking to much instead of letting his reactions take over. A player of his level wont stay down long however, hopefully he has a good second and third and makes an impact.

I don't think anyone is saying you, but there are a select couple posters who try to find something literally every time he gets near the puck and feel the need to always make a post about it, usually relating it to Matthews. Is he having a bad tournament so far? Yes, bad enough that there needs to be 10 posts every page with his name in it? no.
Seems like U-23 has one guy waiting for a break-away at all times. Sweden need to adjust to this.
U-23 totally owned the first 7-8 minutes, after that Sweden has been better, but without creating the same quality scoring chances as the young guns.

It sucks we didn't get to play NA in the exhibition games. We would've needed that lesson before today. They are fast and dangerous, but vulnerable in their own zone. But it's only 1 goal and it's really entertaining!
