Matthew dangled from his knees, found an open defenseman to pass to, drove to the net, and put it home. McDavid was clearly holding his hand there ....

He had a great play just before that taking on everyone and driving the net to set all of that up

Not to take anything from Matthews he's been great.

Yes, and that created a chance for himself. Then Matthews recovered the puck, dangled a guy from his knees, played a pass across to Rielly, Rielly shot it and Matthews drove the net to put it in. Mcdavid was just standing in the corner while all that happened.

Actually, this is my biggest knock on Matthews in this tournament.


He loses the majority of his board battles. He's been better this game in that regard, but he was getting outmuscled badly against the Russians.

Matthews has only been on this line in the tournament. Unless you're referring to the pre tournament games which is just hilarious if so.

Shocking to see an 18 year old kid losing battles along the boards against 30 year old Seasoned vets, I know.

Matthews has been incredible, It'd be nice to see McDavid finish....

North America is gonna live and die by it's goaltending.

If the Goalies can be strong the rest of the tournament they can beat anybody.


But so far, I'm not sure if that can happen.
