In all fairness to the Americans, their team simply was not well constructed. They have the personnel to create a better team in my opinion.

I'd rather see a team I've been following for years win in an 82 game season and then do well in the playoffs than a one-time assembled team win 6 games then disperse and go back home. I'm sure you prefer the latter since it's your only option at the moment

The last 10 mins of third period was kinda ugly for Canada. They just stopped skating. Babcock is probably not happy with that effort, but all in all, this game was over as soon as the third goal was scored.

I take no pleasure in that win as a Canadian fan. The Americans have enough talent that they should be able to be a lot more competitive than that, but their management and coaching is an absolute joke. A hard fought loss would have been more entertaining that a routine win like that.

Sure didn't look routine , in the latter stages of the 3rd, when Yanks rang 3 off the post..Don't know what game u were watching...But the second half of the final period, or so, looked very, VERY UNTIDY

Pretty sloppy game all in all. One nice goal, two at the most the rest were pretty iffy. Canada jumped out in front and shut the door for the most part. The last 7 minutes were just sloppy from Team Canada perspective.

Honestly, I got tired of media fixating on how great that team was 'playing defense'. They were barely in their own end. What they excelled at was possession. If their sh% wasn't in the tank, they probably would have been the highest scoring team as well as the best defensive team given how many shots and scoring chances they were creating.

I changed the channel when the score became 3-1. That's how much faith I had in this team coming back. Actually, I began thinking it when it was only 2-1 and decided that one more against and that was it. Anyways, it turned out to be the smart decision. I'm glad that I didn't bother with the rest.

I must say, though, that I'm a little shocked at how many Canadians are gloating and kicking the USA when they're down. Please, guys, take the high road and let us Americans take the low road and eviscerate our team for this.

Meh, Kessel did just fine battling for the puck this spring. Actually put the puck in the net a few times too, which is more than can be said for a lot of guys on this US team.

Seems you'd rather watch "gritty" players lose puck battles, or do nothing with the puck when they do win them.

You might be better off finding another tree at this point. Clearly basic logic isn't going to change your opinion. And repeating your own illogical opinions won't change my opinion.

Love Chelios and Hull. Totally green when it comes to being a tv analyst. They don't have a clue how to sugarcoat it. Never been trained.

They probably felt bad about it later, Modano said he did...BUT I saw that game vs T Euro and Yanks -- with all their brave talk about this is our Time/emulating their 1996 World Cup team, yadda yadda --- just made it worse for themselves, with the way they played vs T Euro...and make no mistake shot totals were deceiving Yanks were never in that game...

That first period of game one...that's the worst I ever saw a Yankee team play in a Best on Best tourney..and in the heat of the moment I can't blame Modano, Hull, Chelios etc for feeling betrayed and for throwing them under the bus, so to speak..
