OV seems to be a shadow of his former self on the ice today. Comparing that to the classic Montreal goal, you'd think, where is he at the moment? Where's the hunger, the fire?

Ovy is a sniper with a bomb of a slap shot. But he's not getting any good opportunities to release it. He's not a line motor, so no one should expect him to be one.

He has simply been shut down by Hedman, Hjalmarsson and alike.

What a lifeless game. So was USA/Eurpoe. Screw you NHL, and screw you Znorok, this tournament is awful.

Markström has even been surprisingly good with the stick play. It's really impressive.

On the other hand, I still am not very convinced with Znarok's coaching here. I recognize that he's a very successful KHL coach but I really feel like his time has come and they should try someone else. It's really not been very convincing especially recently. It's the same exact issue they used to have for a long time about the Russian players not playing properly as a team. It was fixed for some time under... Bykov I believe? But Znarok hasn't been able to reproduce the effect.
