have to agree with Winter Soldier Schief seems to me to be growing in to a bergeron..... which would *** amazing ! Also love how he seems to have Chemistry with whomever he plays with. he's a beaut
 
- Rinne was rubbish, took the life out of the team in the 1st.
-2nd line was the worst line for us, absolutely brutal and ofcourse they scored so Marjamaki is happy with them.
-Barkov line was the only line that didn't get embarrassed, which is kind of embarrassing at the same time.
- Defense, transition game was from sunday skates, but this is what we get when we have AHL defenseman in the lineup.
We were playing AHL pairing against McDavid :shakehead

u23 is fun as hell, so much speed, so much skill. McDavid was the king today on the ice.

I wouldn't go that far. Scheif's defensive game has a long way to go before he hits Bergeron level.

That's if you can hit them. You're not going to be able to keep them down when they can all skate like the wind. You'll be opening yourself to odd man rushes which you don't want any of against NA.

Scheifele is great, but Bergeron is the leagues best defensive forward. I don't see that as a realistic comparison. The heir-apparent for Bergeron would be Barkov if anyone, unless Couturier takes a big development step offensively.

What the heck, I thought I saw Barkov and Laine maybe three times on the last period! Luckily we have Koivu and Filppula who are all terrific scorers :D

Seriously, can't get anything good out of this game. Marjamäki completely undressed Finland and couldn't get anything going strategy-wise. The decision of using the best offensive line as the fourth line was just a cream on top of the pancake. You win some and lose some, but not being able to utilize every opportunity or possibility is the thing that pisses me off. Utterly terrible coaching and I don't expect it to get any better.

Congratz NA. Hope you guys make all the way! Fantastic team.
 
Big fan of Parayko and Trochek as far as guys who fly under the radar go. Would like to see Trouba in for Ghost, I think his skill set is more required and Ghost seems to get caught out of position more than the other D-men.
 
Scheifele is no Bergeron and he never will be one.

I see him as more of a shooting-type Getzlaf (obviously with not as high as production). I think he can be mean when he wants to but he just chooses not to.
 
totally agree with both of you guys.. which is why I said growing. Would never assume schief is near bergeron's level yet... but his trajectory I feel is the same.
