That's the best Cherry I've seen in a looong time :laugh:

Great first by Canada! Man what a beautiful team game. Everyone covers for everyone, constant pinching, hard & smart back check. They might be just as hard to score against as Sochi. Price's puck handling is a nice cherry on top to catalyst some of those breakouts.

The 2 Nova Scotians + Bergeron constantly impress. Wow
 
I think it will take at least two years for McDavid to surpass Sid.

Crosby looks like he's going to have a monster year.

I agree. Optics matter and this provides an easy target for sore losers. The refs should always be from neutral countries. It just seems sensible.

Apparently the goalie would come out a long ways to challenge the shooters. Cherry told Sittler to fake his shot and take a few more strides. That is what he did, goalie challenged way too far out, Sittler faked the shot skated past him and had a wide open net.

[MOD]how can they refs be on their side on the first goal. They challenged the call and they confirmed that the right call was made on the ice. And just look at the Czech player who was "hooked" on the third goal. If he felt that he was hooked he would have been chewing the ref out but no he just skates to the bench with his head down because he knows he ****ed up.

First goal : Stamkos bumps into Czech goaltender, Crosby scores into open net. How was that not interference or at least incidental contact???

Third goal : Czech defenseman hooked by Crosby, it leads to the goal. How is that not a penalty against Canada???

And they tell me 1987 was a long time ago...

I guess the NHL situation room doesn't know what interference is and refs with over 15 000 games done in the NHL don't know what hooking is. LMAO I love these excuses just salty cause you blow.

Yep swedish tv production says refs have helped canada so far.

...and then there was a sure goal that was taken away by an early whistle, but of course, you won't list that.

It appears most people have already made up their mind on officiating. Now, I am just going to embrace this. Sorry, Canada + refs will be hard to beat. Good luck though!
 
As a Hawks fan I have been playing close attention to Kempny this game, and at first I was like wow that's brutal, but I looked at the replay and I'm pretty sure that should have been a penalty on Canada on that third goal...

I'm talking about every Saturday night though. He will usually praise defensive defensemen or plugs but there aren't any on this Team Canada
