Yup, the hybrid icing rule is stupid. Just make it automatic icing.

Also, agreed that Letang absolutely should be here over Muzzin.

They should have had a "leftover" team just for fun. It would have guys like Kessel, Hall, etc. I think it would be pretty entertaining
 
I think the refs have been quite solid this game, so I don't want this to be a reflection of any individual ****-up, but why would anyone think it's a good idea for someone to ref a game with their own national team playing? I get it, they are professionals - but optics matter!

And don't even dare to make the argument "oh, Canada is the only country in the world with decent refs". Even if you thought the NHL was the only league with competent refs, there are plenty non-Canadians. It just blows my mind.
 
Yes Cherry, forget the goals, it's the shot blocking that makes a player great.

They took NHL refs for an NHL tourney and the vast majority of those refs happen to be Canadian. Anyways if you ever met anyone who takes reffing seriously they have ABSOLUTELY NO BIAS at all. Im buddies with an up in coming ref in 2015 we went to the WJC in Montreal. After the game I asked him who his favourite player was and he said the ref. Refs are dedicated professionals to there job and take pride in referring with integrity.
 
Swedish tv experts said that crosby hooked the czech on the 3rd goal. Watching the replay it does seem so.

The NHL is running things not Hockey Canada...

I'm guessing the NHL would prefer the U S to win since it would be a great boost to growing the game there.
 
It is tough to beat Canada..and tougher to beat them when refs are on their side..first and third goals, really joke...it is 3 a.m. here in Europe..better to go to sleep..
 
Neuvirth chose a bad night to be cold. Would have been interesting if we saw Neuvirth of Game 5/6 vs Capitals.

Obviously he is like a magnet to you, you just have to watch. Remember one day you will be old, be interesting to see if you are as active and bright as he is at that age [MOD]

He only praises players who remind him of himself as a player. So pretty much defensive defensemen and plugs
