Man I don’t know, ketchup on a steak sounds awful, but it doesn’t make me want to throw up like the thought of ketchup on a hot dog.

That's the worst take I ever read on this forum, counting all posts from 15 reincarnations of CaptainBob which I didn't read thanks to ignore function. Maybe even including takes in every Sens thread on main forum

That cuts deep, man.

Ketchup does not belong on burgers
Ketchup belongs on fries (but only if they don't come with mayo) and hash browns. Using it on anything else is just being a child.

Dogs unconditionally loves you while cats only love themselves, they are so selfish 😜
Dogs need a lot of attention and I am selfish as well.

I think dogs are the "better" pet for sure, but I think owning a cat is preferable.

Wait people have a problem with ketchup on hotdogs?

I feel like ketchup was made specifically for hotdogs and burgers
It's a Chicago thing.

I'd never get a hot dog with ketchup from like a real hot dog place but if I grill a hot dog or only have mustard and ketchup as an option I use both.

But I love an everything Chicago style dog toppings the most.

Maybe the real ketchup is the enemies we made along the way.

Mac & Cheese, fried egg sandwiches, hotdogs, burgers, mixed with horseradish and used liberally on london broil sandwiches with red onion, sweet jerkins, and san marino tomatoes.

I don't eat it often, but this thread made me realize I hate ketchup. Literally every food listed here is much better without ketchup.

That being said, while ketchup is always a bad option, a hot dog is one of the first things you should be putting it on if you had to. If you are going to be eating formed assorted meat parts, might as well throw some sugary tomato on it. Can't be that much worse

Ketchup makes me retch-up. I stopped eating about the time it was no longer spelled "catsup" on the bottle. Ranch dressing is crap in my book as well. Add a "u" and you get raunch. But hey, whatever tickles your nuggets.

Try "Jet's pizza" ranch. Gold standard.

"Surely we're done talking about ketchup"

One moment later

"I guess not."

Fine then, I'll have my say on this nonsense. I'm team "ketchup isn't a great topping but if you're putting it anywhere, ketchup (and mustard) on a hot dog is honestly pretty good." When I picture a hot dog in your head, it has ketchup and mustard. I personally prefer some sauerkraut, banana peppers and spicy mustard but I still know that ketchup and mustard is the prototypical hot dog topping combo.

This is a favorite of one former president. Ketchup on steak. That was my joke.
Haha, I got it. I just really hate ketchup on hot dogs :dunno:
