Seider and Cossa, yes. Raymond in 2021, Edvinsson this spring.I think we did that with Seider, Raymond, Cossa and Edvinsson as well.

If he's going to start the year with Rogle...he will not attend the main camp because their season will already have started. That's why Development Camp, normally, is so important for teams...because it's the only chance you get to see your Euro/NCAA players. And there's honestly no reason for him not to go to Rogle for the year.I do honestly believe that he still has the chance to make the team out of camp. There's still room for Kasper as 2c/3c and I guess he will attend to training camp of the red wings.
After the training camp they will finally decide where he's gonna play next season.
Playing another year for Rögle in a men's league isn't a bad option. I just think that Yzerman and the the Coaches of the wings think that he's very close to make the team. That's why we have no final decision at the moment where he will play next season.
I bet they send him to the walleye for a couple years

If we want him to have a full year of development, he won't be at prospect or main camp, as the SHL season starts too early. That's why none of the Euros who were playing in Liga or SHL, last year, didn't come to Camps.I hope he plays the preseason and does main camp with the wings before going back to Rogle. I think a taste of some NHL type action would be good. An NHL training camp would be good for him too I think

The SHL season starts in August, and with main camps going into late september/early october, it's all but guaranteed he won't be at the main camp. This is just what happens with SHL/Liga players, which is why we usually never see them at prospect/main camps until they are ready to come over full-time. Considering that Yzerman has already said that Niederbach/Wallinder/Kasper are going to Rogle, I would assume that this means he won't be at the main Camp.I don’t particularly care about a full year in Rogle, but it’s probably what will happen. I’m with newfy though, I wouldn’t mind him to be in Detroit’s camp to start to get familiar with the NHL experience. Even if that’s only going through camp with the guys who will be playing in the NHL.
But I’d imagine Kasper is going to stick around Detroit for a little bit and work with some guys and get some feedback to handle on his own when he’s back in Sweden for Rogle’s training camp.
Wait... is there big money in getting 21 retweets about obscure European hockey players? I should get in on thisGet the clicks...profit...and then recuse yourself after actually fact-checking your own clickbait. And people wonder why we don't trust the media anymore.
Don't really mind if he plays center or off the wing, but powerplay opportunities are essential imo. You're not a NHL 2C if you're not playing on the powerplay. Out of Power, Hughes, Clarke, and Edvinsson, our player was the only one not to get substantial powerplay opportunity last season, which was a real disappointment in my opinion.
It's all about engagement and "impressions" which is why social media is rife with hot takes and toxicity. Plus he has "TSN" in his handle and some people respond to that as having some authority.Wait... is there big money in getting 21 retweets about obscure European hockey players? Stevie signed him fast, so he obviously believes in the kid. Put him in, coach.

He was signed right away, so probably noncovid tooI think non Covid, Raymond would have gotten signed right away as well. Very few first rounders outside college players/KHL are left unsigned for more than a couple months after draft after being drafted 1st round.
Kasper should have two World Junior Championships to play in in the next 6 months to get some of those offensive opportunities against kidsThe hate for Canadian Juniors on HF is absolutely frustrating and annoying. It is a plenty good option for lots and lots and lots of players. It isn't some low end Junior D development league where 3 or 4 guys come from!!! Kasper's offensive game could find some more confidence with more offensive oppurtunities. I still think he will be in GR or Detroit this year, with GR most likely.

Canadian Juniors make a lot sense for players who are at the appropriate development stage. For somebody who can keep up in men's league like Kapser, you are not going to learn a lot by dunking on cupcakes. You learning nothing but bad habits if you don't feel challanged. And being challenged is a big part of development.
Most people who say, somebody should go to a lower level, want to see points to feel better about a prospect, so they can feel more safe about his future.
My biggest problem with canadian juniors is that guys get 'stuck' there. It would be a fantastic development place if there was fluidity in being able to bring a prospect to the ECHL or AHL if they're dominating in the juniors.A guy whose question mark is offensive creativity could actually benefit from juniors though, instead of playing limited minutes in a less offensive role. Its not just dunking for points to feel good. I'm good with him going to Rogle, but junior has its benefits too
Eklund looked to suffer a lot from that treatment, not a fan.Eklund participated in training camp, played 9 of 14 games or something like that then went back to the SHL. I kind of like how the sharks dipped his toes in the water before sending him back to sweden.
I haven't exactly been following the lead up to them, but the WJC 2022 website shows Austria in a group with The US, Sweden, Germany, & Switzerland? The world juniors that he'll be playing in wont be close to the competition of the CHL. I guess in a year they could end up in the top world junior but Autria is in the lower group this year
