How much octonaughts do you watch?(it’s actually a really good kids show)

Never heard of it. I'm not a child.

I'm a self employed 35 year old who lives alone and wakes up at 9 when the Secret Life of the Zoo and the Zoo come on back to back, which I watch while drinking coffee and eating breakfast.

I think we watched one episode of the zoo. That was a really cool show that I’ll probably forget to watch again unfortunately.
Octonauts(the right spelling I think) and the Wild Kratts(they also did Zoomboombafoo back in the day) are two really well done and educational kid shows that I can sit and watch with the kids and not turn into a zombie.

And Bluey, except that’s not educational at all.

To the people saying there is no good reason to not get the vaccine I respectfully disagree. My wife is a healthcare worker and got the vaccine early on. Both shots she got messed with her cycle. Luckily she is pregnant now and everything seems fine. But who knows how this has affected her or other women. I surly don’t trust the media to seek out the truth as all they do is read from the same script. I sure as hell won’t let my daughter get vaccinated when they inevitably try force it on kids. This along with many other reasons is good enough for me if someone doesn’t want to get it. And let’s stop pretending the vaccine stops you from spreading it. It’s more likely to help you spread it to more people since you don’t know you have it and likely aren’t getting tested.

There is so much misinformed bullshit in here that it's hard to know where to start.

My aunt had it recently. She was vaccinated though. So just mild symptoms. But she was my mom & a group of others the night before she started getting sick. It was like 8 of them or so. Not all of them are/were vaccinated but probably half of the people at least were including my mom & none of them tested positive for it when they got tested.

Well, I’m convinced.

I can’t say I agree with all of this, I do encourage it but conversation is never a bad thing.

Will say, the cycle thing I haven’t heard, but I’ve heard from a few childbearing age coworkers about having huge clots during their periods, and my own gf said the same.

Here would be my thing. There are side effects to everything. Those who run at the first sign of discomfort to Tums, Advil, Tylenol, or other over the counter drugs. Hell alcohol has side effects. Life is a mix of pro and cons, as is medicine. Some meds sedate and kill quicker, of course you wouldn’t tell someone that I’m such a way but it’s what makes passing go peacefully. Trans pacing is a really fun ride but can save your ass. Vent infections are common as hell but a risk one takes of having a machine breathe for them. Even IV’s can be a nice source of infection to kill you, or make it easier for me to shoot a nice wrong dose into your bloodstream. The risk is there but so is the benefit.

Do as you will, and Kum Bah Yah. People would all just get along with more civility and an open mind. The middle ground, is often the best place to stand.

Although I do live alone, my sister stays here with her kids sometimes for the beach. They were here a few weeks ago and Bluey ended up on the TV. There were a few other kids shows on throughout the week they were here and I truly don't know how you people with kids do it. My sister gets by because she is militant and has limited each kid to an hour of "entertainment" screen time a day.

We discussed what those creative meetings must be like to come up with and write those shows. I assume they all take a mixed handful of drugs.

Health issues stemming from obesity put the largest strain on our healthcare system. All the mentioned above put a strain on resources. Drunk drivers could have no incident, cause something small like broken bones or auto body damage, or kill a single person other than the drunk, or a family of 4, or cause a 12 car pile up. ODing is single issue, but drug use doesn’t have to be, aka sharing dirty needles, bad batches coming from dealers, or multiple people coming into accidental contact with fentanyl.
They are all still choices, with some exception to some cases of obesity or getting hooked via prescribed pills and whatnot, and they are deserve to be treated with medical care.

I think the point I am making is not the one you are defending. I was differentiating an infectious disease (ie, COVID) from nontransmissible causes of death. Yes, all definitely need to be addressed by the healthcare system, but not at all in the same way.

You are probably the misinformed one listening to all the usual media outlets

Did you take your Invermectin today?

I dont watch the news.

Im just not a f***ing idiot that thinks they know better than our healthcare professionals and scientific community.

Unfortunately im not sure you can say the same. Hopefully one day you can (though i'm not gonna bet on it).
