You are obviously overly sensitive and overreacting to the situation. Nobody is saying butter is bad. Only that, like all things in life, there is a time and a place. Butter on toast? Fine. On pancakes and waffles? Better than fine. Sometimes when I make spaghetti, and sauce from a jar is too much work, I’ll just melt butter in the noodles, dump in some parmesan cheese and some broccoli (steamed of course) and voila.

But corn on the cob?

When I was a kid I used to put butter and salt on my corn on the cob.

But when I became a man I put away childish things. Except Fruit Loops. I still like those.

Being a man doesn't mean you have to make things taste worse on purpose

Edit: And as Whitey always used to tell us, Tastykakes are made with “milk, butter, and eggs”. And TKs rock. So yes, up with butter. Just not on corn.

I've gotta dark secret to confess.

Unless I'm at a diner and it comes on them already, I don't put butter on my waffles or pancakes. It's nothing to do with not liking butter, but just a subconscious 'health' thing. Maple syrup does all you need for those items, even if butter does kick it up a notch.

I'm the same with waffles and pancakes. The syrup brings enough to the table. Rarely will I use butter. I have no metabolism to speak of so little decisions like that add up.

Yeah, I definitely respect the element that butter brings, and it definitely.improves it, but pancakes are just fine with maple syrup only. Generally, they don't last long enough to warrant the additional condiments, anyway.

100% Even at home I don't always put butter on them. Just depends on the mood.

You anti butter folks are just continually making fools out of yourselves. Go back to sleep.

Nice grass fed butter is actually good for you as long as you don't eat sticks at a time. Healthiness is not a valid excuse.

That's fair and all, but it's also extra work to spread. I'm done my pancakes before you even finish spreading butter. Take any longer, and I'm eating your stack, too.

anti butter people? No there are just some people who like butter on somethings and not others.
Example, i love asparagus on the grill. A little garlic salt, butter and wrap it up in tinfoil. Absolutely delicious

Hand-stiched headliner and interior trim. Designed to your specifications of course, so if you prefer winged cherubs or a reproduction of the Sistine Chapel ceiling they'll probably accomodate you.

I never put butter on anything. Actually nothing. I will have it baked or cooked into things, etc. As long as it’s not ridiculously rich. But never on top. I’m not a dairy person in general. Have a revulsion to cheese too. Blame brain chemistry.
