Getting Diaz was a good move. I had seen him play before, but didn't realize that he was available, or that he would fit in like he has.
I'm really happy with this small, quiet acquisition.

It was bad decisions, not just the system. The system didn't help him, but his decision making has improved as well as learning the system.

His decisionmaking is what it always was. He was learning how to deal with the completely new defensive system. All of the outlet passes were different, all of the positioning was different. It is a massive, massive change and your absolutely discounting the effect it had on him as a player.

Again it's obvious it was the system. You've seen a couple defenders make leaps and bounds improvements (Staal as well).

We benefit from it this time, but I still hate the diving call. It's either a trip or not. If the guy wants to flop and take himself out of the play, let him.
