Girardi had a rough 30 games to start the season but he's really turned it around. And people thought we were going to give this guy up for a lousy first round...

But he really didn't. The entire team had growing pains. Lundqvist was terrible. The entire team sucked.

The entire team now is better. G is playing elite again. It takes time for a team to learn a new system.

one thing I like about Millbury (besides ruining the Islanders) is that he's not afraid to criticize players. When he and Keith Jones ripped Radulov in 2012 playoffs, it was epic. And he's right about Saint Louie right now, he's been pretty crappy.

The back-checker hardly ever breaks it up. He normally gets a shot off with it and he had another good chance this time.

So glad that they re-signed G.

I was just thinking how awesome that pair is becoming with McD taking his game to the next level. That pairing is becoming as ghood a #1 pairing as there is in the league, Girardi has been superb since signing his deal, and McD has been elite since coming back from the Olympics.
