Yeah you have to figure he will be adapted to the smaller NA ice and not run into the injury/suspension issues again (crossing fingers!)

I think next year we see the real Zacha. There were glimpses this past year.

Definitely think that might be true, and it could be good in the long run that Zacha had struggles last season. That can teach a player how to be resilient.

I have been leaning more and more toward Zacha as the draft got closer so good job Shero.
 
Maybe this is the start of the Devils turning a new leaf. Having someone that actually want to be here. We had Neidermayer, Parise, Kovalchuk, Clarkson all leaving for somewhere else.
 
He and Elias have the same agent. Allan Walsh. Or use to at least. I know he's Patty's agent, and I remember him ranting on twitter about Sarnia drafting Zacha last season, saying he wasn't going to report because he's under contract in the Czech Republic. However, he endorsed/congradulated other prospects/clients tonight. Didn't mention Zacha.

EDIT: As someone mentioned earlier, Patrik Stefan is his agent now.
 
I thought he fired allan walsh because of that whole tirade about him and Sarnia. I think Patrik Stefan is his agent now.

To be fair, I think Niedermayer and Clarkson were different situations.

Niedermayer wanted to be with his brother, Clarkson probably would have stayed, Lou just knew better than to let him cash in on him for his two previous fluky seasons that have still yet to be anywhere near duplicated.

Nieds paid his dues here. He won 3 cups for us. Him leaving to play with his brother was okay in my book.
 
I don't really blame anyone but Kovy since he walked out on his contract. Everyone else was free to choose to leave. It will just be nice if Zacha is someone who chooses to stay in the future.
 
I'm not sure when he'll be ready to play in the NHL, it's probably best to return him to junior this year though.

Yeah, I think the Devils could let him play in a couple of NHL games (would be a good experience for him) and then return him to Sarnia this year to develop more. Of course, if he has an absolutely crazy camp and proves that he belongs in the NHL, then I'd want him on the team, but right now, I'm willing to be patient.
 
he is so big I see no reason why he cannot play right away.

this kid is going to be good. I mistook him for Barzal. Now im ecstatic with this pick.
 
Seems like his favorite NHL team is the Devils! :) Did he said that he and Elias is from the same city?

Lou basically admitted as much in so many words.

He told him he wasn't going to match the insane offers. Clarkson wanted to stay but how do you say no to what he was offered?

Zach is a whole other story that is really off topic.

Back to Zacha. I really do like this pick.
