I'm as patient as anyone here but a non-goaltender prospect being in the ECHL at 21 for any other reason than an injury rehab does not bode well for their NHL future. It can happen, it has happened, but for once BWC isn't completely unjustified in writing a young prospect off. I wouldn't go to his extreme, but that certainly isn't very promising.

As for the reports on Olofsson, no surprise from this observer. Glad to see him get off to a good start to his college career. He is one to keep an eye on over the course of his development.

Ugh - Can't do Notre Dame, football is too strong in me.

I just wouldn't mind following a college, and my alma mater (Bama) most certainly does not have a team.

Alabama-Huntsville has one. They played the Alabama club team in an exhibition game this year; UAH won 11-1.

I watch all of North Dakota's NCAA games because I lived in Minot, ND around age 4-9 and went to a few games in Grand Forks.

I think they will in the coming years. Pretty strong club program there and could be one to go varsity down the line at some point.

I guess I'm a North Dakota fan, though the most popular teams in Chicago are probably Wisconsin, Michigan, or Notre Dame due to proximity and number of grads that live and work in the area.

I more closely follow the Illini club hockey team though, tbqh.

I sort of wish there was a rookie goalie to report on in Rockford.
Obviously, Leighton does pretty well. But aside from any injury situation, he is never going to play for the Hawks.
Pokka was pretty active last night and Hartman had a nice game.
Dano was noticeable but missed some quality chances. Jury is still out on him, but he is only 20. Im sure he will only improve.
I hope Ross gets a look with the Hawks.

There are a few great UDFA candidates with connections. Ortega at UNO, Stetcher at UND. I also want to know more about this Russian Panarin-like defenseman, Zaitsev. Also Vesey might Hayes Nashville.
