Fredrik Olofsson had a great game for Nebraska-Omaha last night - 2 goals and 2 assists in a 4-3 win over Vermont.

Radovan Bondra scored the winning goal in Vancouver's 2-1 win over Tri-City. A nice wrister on the powerplay.

Hi guys, Rangers fan here.

I got the chance to watch some of Nalimov's game against our own prospect Buchnevich.

I was surprised at how good Nalimov is. I had read that he was off to a good start to the season, but he really stood out when I watched. The kid is so calm in net. His team played terribly, but he kept them in the game.

Do you know if he's going to come over to North America after this season or is he going to wait another season? He now will have a few Russian players to help him with the transition. I think when you bring him over, its to play in the NHL immediately (probably as a back up). I think he's way too good to play in the AHL, given how he's playing in a better league.

On the flip side, Graham Knott has started the season terribly with 1 point through 8 games. His coach/GM has benched him late in games and has made comments about trades.

Pokka was okay. Gustafsson was bad. Schilling was good.
Jeremy Morin has been completely destroyed by coming back to this franchise. He looked like garbage tonight.
Dano was throwing his weight around which was nice to see.
Hartman was there.

Problem is we've got Crow and Darling presumably for the long-term.

I think if Darling proves himself capable this year and the Hawks consider trading Crawford (extremely unlikely even if Darling plays his ass off), then it's a possibility that he could be Darling's backup in a couple of years. But that's such an unlikely scenario that I wouldn't bank on it.

Indy starts out 2-0 with wins against Toledo (one of ECHL's best last year) & Evansville (ECHL's worst team last year). Promising start, since they only won 6 games for first half of last season.

Still, royal pain to follow them. CBSSports 1430 preempts them for Notre Dame & Roncolli (a Catholic high school) football and HTSN had Carmel/Lawrence Central on instead of Fuel/Walleye. Saturday's game @ Ft. Wayne will be first over-the-air broadcast of a Fuel game in Indy this year.

I don't see Darling in longterm plans

He wont be this cheap forever ,, Eventually he will look for more $$$ and Hawks cant afford to spend 6M on Crawford and pay a high price for #2

Also if he does well in these 2 years he will leave as UFA and chance to compete for #1 job somewhere

I don't think its unlikely. In two years now low cap players like Panarin, Darling, Teravainen, Dano and Pokka will be RFA/UFA and Hawks will need free cap space to keep (some of) them.Plus they will have resign or replace cheap players like Desjardins, Daley, Garbutt and Runblad. Why would Hawks keep CC if Darling proves in next two season that he can do same job only to lose ie. Panarin, Teravainen, Dano and Pokka ?

Pokka now -5 after just 4GP...

Rockford gets torched again tonight by the Dallas Farm Texas squad...they gave up 7 after 5 the night before and Stockton loaded up on the in one of the first 2 games ..so it ain't good 8n goal or on D in Rockford so far...getting g torched ...I do not think you want Nalimov exposed to that crap on D ...so better he has a good confidence building few years in Russia before coming over to hopefully a better Rockford d-corps in a few years...and we cannot keep depleting our draft picks or making big mistakes I the picks we have....otherwise the cupboard will go bare in Rockford and there will be squat replenishing when the rot has to be trimmed....like obviously they will need to trim after this likely sorry season...I suppose the genius management we have might do some PTO audition s to find goalies ether than gvd seizes Visentin and Leighton have been to start this season ....but even recalling Carruth in front of that porous defense is not likely to steam the leak of goals given up..No it would take some other orgs with too many goalies who might agree to let d somebody who can stop the puck to Rockford...else this will ge one embarrass g season. ...

Frederick Olofsson has 5 points in 4 games as a Freshman on an undefeated Nebraska-Omaha team so far this year.

Sounds like a dumpster fire. Imagine if the Hogs had Bob (early season Bob, anyway).

Rockford is going to struggle. Minimal amount of vets, and complete roster shake up. I wouldn't put much stock into players numbers down there this year, specifically plus minus.

Only 1.5% of all 21 year old defensemen who play a game in the ECHL will became NHL regulars.
