Pokka is still a potential top-4 guy and Forsling looks fantastic. I'm not too worried.

Neither of them have the physical ability Johns has nor the skating speed. (Although Forsling is no slotch) Hopefully Hawks can find a guy like that in the future.

They are both solid skaters. Johns was not a speed guy unless he completely changed last year.

He's a bit faster than Seabrook for example. The Pokka I watched (albeit only a 7-8 game sample size) was average to slightly above. Might be the agility that makes him look slower than he is though.

Gustav Forsling had a great assist just now for the 2-2 goal for Linköping against Djurgården. Check it out on shl.se later if you can. :)

Forsling is a stud, probably our second best D prospect (not that there's much competition...).

Another assist on the GWG in OT, and what's more impressive is he was one of the bestplayers in the game defensively. If he pans out, that was a great trade for you guys. Worth the risk, though Glendening is lower risk with lower upside (from what little I've seen).

What's your projected role for Forsling if he pans out?

I can't claim to be an expert at projections, but if he makes it I see him making it as no less than a top 4 with great offensive upside and PP QB. Take this with a grain of salt though, there are probably others better suited than me to judge him!

You can watch the highlights here. If you want to skip to the 2-2 goal it's at the 1:33 mark.

Bondra seems to be playing well in these first few days of camp. I'll be interested to see how he plays this year. I believe he's going to the WHL?

He'll be playing in Vancouver with potential top-10 pick Tyler Benson. Should be a good year for him.

I thought he looked good in the scrimmage last night. Looks pretty coordinated for a 6'5" 18YO. Hands looked pretty slick. He should have a good Junior season.

Joni Tuulola is playing decent minutes for HPK in Finland. His average TOI is 17:41 through 6 games, and he picked up his first point of the season yesterday.

Tanner Kero

I will be interested to see how Tanner Kero fares in Rockford. We didn't get to see him much in camp but he seems to have good wheels and plays bigger than his listed 185 lbs. From the glimpse we had of him, I think he plays the type of game that may get Q's attention. Anyone here know much about this player?

Forsling is really good. Right now the best player in the Linkoping SHL team, and if he continues like this he will be one of the best defenders in the league.

Scored his first goal of the season yesterday and is 1+3 in four games. Great shot, hard and always on target.

This kid, guys. I'm telling you he might be the real deal. And not in a "maybe a 4D" kind of way.

Roy Radke scored a hat-trick last night in a 4-2 win.

Highlights of the game (For Radke's goals jump to 3:05, 6:05 and 7:02).

So interesting...

Watch Forsling, Schmaltz, Motte and Hayden along with the AHL guys and remember if a guy is ppg in the AHL that is a 40 pt nhler.

Once again... Panain could be a 70 pointer folks. 40-70 is his basement/ceiling IMO. Huge variance but what an upside.
