I don't think Leddy should be put into that category. He wasn't a prospect. Stan put him on the team from basically day 1 that he was in the organization. The team clearly valued Leddy, they just couldn't fit him $ wise into the long-term plans of the team. Pirri and Hayes did alright, but they were nothing in Chicago and given countless opportunities. Like HS said, we'll see what Pirri does with diminished quality of icetime. I believe was healthy scratched numerous times a well. He really put up his goals on the PP.

Yup all those opportunities. 1 game. 5 games. 1 game. 28 games.

13 points and +7.

Yup, did nothing will ALL those opportunities.

He got every Chance and he couldn't Keep up with the Hawks. His on ice Play wasn't good at the end and that's why he got less and less minutes.

His not sticking wasn't based on on ice play.

This is what I don't get about this board. How can you say that?

Pirri came up and was putting up points. He had a great start. And then he slowly got worse and worse and his ice time reflected that.

Maybe Pirri is a ****** and an entitled ass, but as far as his on-ice play, had he continued to play well and put up points, he would have stuck.

But that was always his problem. He's not a good all-round player, didn't provide a lot of energy or battle effort and when he wasn't scoring, he wasn't doing anything positive to contribute to the team.

He "lost" his job to Handzus. That is the problem most posters have (at least as I see it) with his demotion and subsequent trade. Pirri wasn't an all-around player but being a one zone player is more than you could say about his competition.

The problem is posters do not let facts get in the way of their agenda.

Pirri played 28 games the season he was traded. Break his TOI down for 1st 8 games, 2nd 8 games and last 10 game. Not a big difference.

Did he struggle offensively the last 10 games? Yes. How unheard of for a young player.

And for all his "one sided" play he was so awful defensively during that slump that he wound up EVEN for his last 10 games.

On ice didn't determine Pirri's fate in Chicago. Someone didn't like him, end of story.

Pirri is not an NHL center ,, That is what sealed his fate in Chicago

That is why he almost washed out in Florida until they finally put him at RW and he found some success

He was not very good here.

Other than his first few games he was pretty bad here. He did not fit our system and honesty I don't think he was willing to change his game to play here.

Pirri could've been +20, that doesn't mean he's a good defensive player. He's bad. He doesn't compete along the boards. Just a passanger in his own zone.

David Rundblad was +17 on the season. Do you feel comfortable when he's on the ice in the defensive zone? No. Because he doesn't win many battles and he struggles under pressure.

Pirri was inconsistent and outside of a nice stretch of 10ish games, very unimpactful. That's what sealed his fate.

Didn't realize that Chris Calnan is going to be captain at BC next year. Nice.

He should be a great leader for BC. Something BC was lacking in last season. With the addition of a very talented incoming class he will be invaluable in guiding Boston College to the NCAA's.

Pirri can't read a play, or he falls asleep. I'm not sure which it is. If he's not on the puck or near it, there's no place for him in a system.

Igor Bobkov (Ducks prospect) is leaving NA to sign with Vladivostock

Hopefully Nalimov gets legit chance at #1 job and isn't relegated without opportunity on bench

Svedberg signed to one-year extension

Yup, was just making a topic about that, but figured.... eh, not really topical enough, unless we find out it's a one-way shocker that guarantees that he plays in Chicago.

Ohio State defenseman Sam Jardine (2011 6th round pick by us) signed with Rockford on a one-year deal. Forgoing his senior season.

Pretty odd to sign an AHL deal with collegiate eligibility remaining

With Forsling, Dahlstrom, Press, and Norell all staying in Europe this year and one of Gustafsson or Svedberg potentially making the Hawks in a depth role, there's not a whole lot in his way as far as LDs in Rockford. This could be his chance to get a leg up on the Swedes who are potentially coming to NA in a year.

I saw a couple of his games this year. He played in pretty much every situation for tOSU and seemed pretty solid. Seems like just another D first kind of guy. Bit of a vanilla playing style, not that that's a bad thing.
