Y'all need to leave Abby be.
I don't disagree but as a public figure she kinda opened herself up for these kinds of things to live on. Right or wrong it comes with the territory. I always liked her and still do, don't really care what she or any of these other people do in their personal lives, none of my business. Hope she does well in whatever her next ventures are because she was really good for us in that role. Although I have come to like Hanna too after being unsure at first.

I dunno man. Folks can say what they want. It just feels kind of gross at this point to me. I feel bad for her, what can I say?

Maybe the worst thing about the Internet is that it never forgets.

I disagreed when some seemed to be employing moral judgement double standards to Abby as compared to the men involved. But especially now that she's back to work and presumably back on her feet (ba dum dum!) I don't see why she should be exempt from humorous takes.

I'm also a fan of hers and hope she does well in her new position (ba dum dum again!)

When you’re a public figure you’re under more scrutiny so it’s probably a good idea to not sleep with married coworkers.

I mean, that’s just generally good advice for anyone to follow.

Meh, I’m with Hank. “You’re under more scrutiny” doesn’t mean “it’s healthy and cool that everyone just gets to just keep rubbing the biggest mistake of your life in your face and never let you live it down or give you any grace about it.”

(It was a bad situation all around, but put me down for “Ian Cole’s transgression was the bigger sin.”)

And she was what, 24 at the time? What cool smart well advised activities were you engaged in at 24? Holy shit I'm glad there was no Twitter around 24 year old Hank.

Yes, she f***ed up. She paid for it with her job and her impeding marriage. How long will she continue to have to pay for it

Yeah I don't get the double standards. From a professional standpoint both screwed up (or not I guess depending your viewpoint of inner office relationships). From a personal standpoint both screwed up, Ian moreso already being married with kids but she did cheat on her fiance.

Nothing even remotely in the same stratosphere as cheating on my fiancée by sleeping with someone who had a small child and pregnant spouse at home.

And how exactly is a few people cracking the odd joke about what happened on a random message board making her “pay for it”? When you f*** up that badly in the public eye it’s not just going to disappear overnight. Eventually it will go away but it hasn’t been that long.

Like I said already, it hasn’t even been that long so I don’t think it’s that strange that people are still cracking the odd joke.

Certainly no one here is “rubbing her face in it”.

Look, folks are gonna make jokes. I get it. But she was basically a good kid, she was nice to people, she was well liked and good at her job, and then she got caught up with a notorious asshole and what happened, happened. Now she's rebuilding her life while Ian Cole moves on to collect a huge paycheck somewhere else. Personally, I think that sucks, and I think she deserves a little more respect for the time she spent here as a member of the Canes family. I'd feel the same way if folks made jokes about Tripp's drinking. You don't have to agree. My opinion, that's all, carry on.
