I’m confident the canes will get him to the NHL as soon as it’s possible. Which, due to his KHL contract is still a couple seasons.

eh, big difference between something like this and the "you got Kronwall'd" style hipchecks where his skates are a f***ing foot off the ice before contact.

You’re on to something there. Very few players are allowed to play physical today.

I’m more worried about those open ice hits and how it could leave him defensively vulnerable if these hits are missed. NHL guys are a step up faster and more elusive. I’m sure we’ll see them, but a lot less often than what we’re getting out of him now in the KHL.

quite a bit off his scoring pace from last year to start this season but he's still been every bit as solid overall as he was last year. the team around him has struggled a bit unlike last year which has affected his point production. he can't come over soon enough, really.
