I never said Niemi was average. He is a top-10 goaltender.

But he isn't close to Lundqvist.

Lundqvist in a bad year, on a far worse team, still has better stats.

The Marleau chance was a carbon copy of the MZA chance. The breakaway was as good a chance as Brassards second.

Except the breakaway chance came from a 30 goal finisher, and our chance came from a 3rd line center

Niemi had three tough saves. One was outstanding.

Lundqvist had AT LEAST three tough saves.

Rangers pinned them in the zone the entire time, flubbing shots, with 95% of them having NO CHANCE of going in.

The opposing goalies aren't as great as everyone thinks they are, its that the Rangers just aren't that GOOD. The QUALITY of our shots, while high in volume, or LOW in quality.

This is the reason why most every goal looks amazing against us. If you throw 40 pucks at a goalie with no screens, directly into the chest. He's going to stop them all.

Had he waited a minute he would've been crucified by the board for not shooting right away. He shoots right away he's being bashed for not taking his time and lining up a perfect shot.

It was a horrible shot. Niemi was to the left and he shot back to the left. The only thing good about the shot was how quickly he got it off.

Shots and quality shots are two different things.

I'd rather see the Rangers get 10 shots on goal with 5 high quality shots.

Than 21 shots on goal and 4 high quality shots (which, for the most part, is literally what we had).
