We're getting killed by Toronto, who we pooped on 7-1 last time we played them, because we traded Cally?

I see AV, the style he preaches, the way he's coached, and the teams and players he's coached, and then I see the direction the Rangers are moving in (which I think is awful), and I can't see him as anything but the ****ing worst.

This is a coach most well known for coaching a team that tried to win on puck possession, the powerplay, and pure talent AT THE EXPENSE OF (not in addition to), defense from forwards, physicality, work ethic, etc.

The team has been moving toward a country club since the Nash trade. AV is a big part of that. His hiring, followed by eliminating every forward who knows how to throw the body, or block a shot, aren't coincidences in my mind.

I was open minded when he came in, and I even thought the "Clean slate" thing was a neat idea, but I think he's been bloody dreadful.

Go cheer for another team then. NYR doesn't need you.

You mean the Nash trade, that Torts forced, that led to Dubinsky and other incredibly hard workers being traded...OK.

We traded Ryan Callahan, a very hard worker, true, however, the guy we got in return is known as one of the hardest working players in NHL history.

I don't love the move because of the picks, but acting like we got a floater is absolutely laughable.

We got a player who is going to have a couple more good years, good years that will be far beyond any year that Callahan will ever imagine.

I love Cally, but its posts like this that make you think of him in such a negative light.

Trading him was the right move. His contract demands were obscene.

We don't have anyone to tell the team to get pucks deep now.
I think our gameplan will crumble because of that.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. The true loss in all of this.

Though we do gain Marty's yellow sticks.

im excited for marty st louis. when has an aging star ever come to rangers and deteriorated? it has literally never happened before.
