Other than Kakko, Buchnevich, TDA, Miller, and Fox, the team was trash. Quinn is, in my opinion, close to getting fired.

I'm sure I will get heat for this but hard not to be disappointed with Lafreniere and to a lesser extent Kakko so far.

I get that it's a big adjustment...and our/my expectations may have been too high...and that it's been a weird 10 months of hockey w the pandemic.

But while Kakko to his credit looks much improved, in 6 games neither has shown even a glimmer of being a potential franchise player. Kids have struggles, I am not expecting finished products, but I am talking about real flashes the way a player like Miller has provided flashes.

I am hoping beyond all hope that there are better days to come...it is going to require more patience than I expected.

At least Ron Low admitted he was clueless. He literally answered questions with "I dont know." This guy is pretty pompous after games.

Miller, Buchnevich and Kakko were the only players to look halfway decent tonight.

Is this team allergic to forechecking? Does David Quinn know what forechecking is?

Ryan Strome isn’t even playing at an AHL level despite his premium minutes.

Jack Johnson isn’t even playing at an ECHL level.

Trouba is barely an NHLer without K’Andre carrying him. Always a good sign when your 8million dollar defenseman has to be carried by a rookie 6 games into his career. Trouba skates like he has skates made of lead. It’s honestly comical. He’s slower than Dan Girardi ever was and he doesn’t play in a way to compensate for his horrible foot speed like G did.

Zibanejad and Kreider deserve almost as much hate as Strome.

It rots from the head down, David Quinn needs to be feeling some heat on his seat right now. There’s no defending a lot of his decisions and his team’s overall lack of urgency or any semblance of a strategy. Poor skill play too. Endless flubbed passes, fanned shots, bobble pucks, LOST FACEOFFS.

Dumping the puck in is just killing time because nobody on this team outside of Buchnevich or Kakko at times is apparently capable of winning a board battle. Half of them can’t even make it to the top of the circle when they’re the first man in on a forecheck before it’s already being broken out of the zone.

Just a flat out putrid effort.

Quinn has been the only coach hired by Gorton.

You know, no one talks about the equipment managers when it comes to bad play. They get a free pass everytime. Maybe they aren't doing a good job sharpening skates, or cleaning the jerseys? Maybe they would have some more pep in their step if their uniforms were a little fresher.

Probably a mole somewhere in the equipment room making sure the skates are dull and sneaking vodka in their Gatorade. Mika takes faceoffs like he's piss *** drunk

Last year, there were two guys making insane plays every night. This year, they haven't been able to replicate what they did on the daily last season.

That's on them. But it's also an indictment of the rest of team's uselessness.

Development just isn't good enough with this staff.

It’s becoming blatantly clear, and if that’s the case, they need to be fired tomorrow.

That’s literally the only thing that should matter. Development of Lafreniere, Kakko, Kravtsov (when he gets here), Chytil, Fox, and Miller.

The hell with the god damn playoffs. No one gives a shit about the playoffs. They are meaningless to this roster.

Panarin and Mika had magical years last season that carried us. They both look like shells of those players at this point.

I think Panarin will play better than this but yeah it was never that crazy to think that last season could very well be the best season he will have for us.

Mika 100% lol. Dude played like 57 games last year and was a 40 goal scorer. That ain't happening again.
