I think kakko and buchnevich, and miller were good. Laf imo plays much better when he gets engaged. too often do i see him just kind of hovering around the puck instead of helping his teammates. However when he does get involved you see good things. If he can keep himself engaged i think we'll see him finally get some points, think he is just trying not to make mistakes

This is what happens when you put all your money into wingers. Panarin, Laf, Kakko, Kreider, Buch, Kravtsov, etc. We’re neglecting the most important position and it shows. It’s gonna be a whole bunch of first round exits with this team build.

We had a 1OA and a 2OA pick when both times the clear choice was a winger. not much you can do about that.

I can't blame Zibanejad. Covid may very well have ended Ezekiel Elliott's career. Some people take months to get full lung function back. If Zibby's lungs aren't in peak condition due to the virus, it doesn't matter how much offseason work he did. Hockey is very cardio heavy and if his lungs are at 80%.... well then it will impact the entirety of his product significantly

They’re definitely dumping the puck but apparently not chasing. Idk if they don’t have the personnel to be running it or whatever but it’s not f***ing working. Every time they dump it in they don’t even come close to doing anything with it.

He needed to upgrade at 2C and now with no Chytil, we have Howden at 3C, which is a disaster. We are in for a hell of a run.

Quite harsh, but he looks like 3rdline grinder right now. Yet ... it was his 6th NHL game. We can only hope. Two years.

Even to me this feels sudden... but I feel that Quinn has lost the room.

This has to be on the players and the coach. There seems to be no structure to the way the team plays. Several times during the game there is a Ranger behind the net and there is literally no one in front to pass to, All the forwards were on the boards. The breakout is also terrible, passes aren’t crisp and they always wanna stick handle into the zone, no dump and chase. They are always chasing the perfect play to score and won’t do the dirty work.

Didn’t mind Quinn until now. He may have been a good college coach but he doesn’t seem to be the right fit for this team. This team needs a coach with more structure because this team as constructed needs it badly. When your best players aren’t performing like these guys are now you need to fall back on your team structure. If you wanna give Quinn a free pass this season then this team will finish in the bottom 5 teams in the league this year which is a huge step back from the past couple years.

This team was supposed to be an offensive juggernaut.

Miller's goal was the only positive thing to take from that.

Miller and Fox were effective, and a few other guys were adequate; but mainly we played like it was the Dark Ages again, and they couldn't wait to just take their exorbitant pay cheques and get home to their beautiful wives and girlfriends.
