Feel free to check the news. Kiril Kaprizov has been denied entry to the US twice and returned to Russia. A goalie Philadelphia signed is in a military camp right now. I don't know how north Korea does things, but I'd say there is cause for concern regarding Russians coming over right now.
Kaprizov's situation is a US work visa issue. He had the COVID exemption so he never actually got a work visa. At least that's how I understand the situation. So it's actually the US keeping him out right now.

I found interview in May by Buchelnikov. He got injured during playoffs, and just started practicing. He said his family close friends with Radulov family. He also said he could quit playing hockey 3 years ago, because he was physically not good enough. His parents moved with him when he started play fo CKA

The more I watch highlights, the more I get excited. The dude has an absolute snipe. Just needs to hit the weights hard. Definitely my favorite pick of the draft and has the potential to be our real 1st pick.

Just hoping he doesn’t go the way of Tyutyayev who looked pretty similar (but was in a lower league I think)

Hopefully he’ll be at the development camp next week!

This guy will have to be provided with a lot of effort and attention by our coaches and the team behind the team. He is an overager, seems to be rather small and thin, was just injured, very likely that there are huge cultural and language barriers aswell, not to forget the current political situation.

I don't think I've seen a prospect situation so tough in the recent history of hockey in Detroit.

But he truly seems like an unpolished diamond. I hope that we can pull it off and support him both physically and mentally over the next years. If someone can do it, it's this franchise. But it will be tough both for him and anyone involved.
Very high risk.

MHL games on YouTube. You could watch entire game. I never seen him playing yet, going to do it weekend

Does he have a miltary ID....I am skeptical about any Russian right now. Kirill was just denied entry into the US bc of no work visa, didn't need one due to CV-19. Attempted to re-route himself into USA after being denied in Dubai, and was refused entry for a second time. Now he is back in Russia. What a sh*t show, but its reality.

Maybe I missed this but I’m guessing Dmitri won’t be at the camp this weekend, right?

They have the camp in SKA right now. All the kids are there, like Michkov, Chibrikov, Svechkov etc. SKA has one of the best development facilities in the world.

If he's a student he won't need the ID for the next 5 or so years...

Kaprizov was denied entry by the US because he doesn’t have a valid work visa. Russia didn’t stop him from leaving.

Those are definitely some hands and creativity in those highlight videos, dang. Will be fun to see where this goes.

All this. Pure skill but not much else. Its either a top 6 winger, or a player who wont play in a psychical league.

There is a reason he only played in the MHL in his D+1 season.

High risk, some reward
He was just about the youngest you could possibly be for your +1 season.

Damn the kid can sure shoot the puck..and he's still a kid. Maybe a Datsyuk like steal at the draft.

If he’s in the KHL next year I hope he gets a decent role and doesn’t get the Yurov treatment.

As long as he's in SKA, that's not going to happen. It would be better for Buchelnikov to move to one of the bottom tier KHL team's, there he would get a decent role since lot of non-russian players are leaving KHL.

After watching 3 games with him , I don't think so. Physically he is not ready even for KHL. Trikozov almost year older and more promising, but they choose Buchelnikov. Wonder why, my guess is for personality, try to be the best and work hard to get there , I don't know

Throw the European central Scouting Bureau rankings out the window…. This pick has some serious sex appeal!!

Get this kid healthy and get him out of mother Russia ASAP.

I had the dude at 61. He wasn't a mystery.

I'd have been just fine with Buch at 52. I am, anyway.
But James over Trikozov annoys the f*** out out me.

James was a monster during playoffs. We have no idea how those 18 years old will be progress and if he becomes Bertuzzi twin it's a win , big win

Trikozov is a prospect with minus level compete. His profile makes me think of the lesser skilled Kostitsyn brother.
